I'm sure we'll hear stories of how "close" things got with Jon only to have the deal fall apart. FML.

He'll be better than any of the previous three coaches. Great offensive mind and has strong ties to Ga.

It would be time to go ahead and close down shop and head on home if we hire Bobo.

No one could pretend anymore that we are trying to compete in this league.

No clue, he hasn't really done anything at Colorado State. I guess it's the UGA ties and good recruiting resume. I'm sure FL is really happy with their hire of the last CSU coach.

He's took over a 10 win program and went 7-6 in back to back years. He's a cuck.

Two Volquest mods mentioned him as secondary list candidate.

Great offensive mind? LMAO, only UGA/UF/Bama fans would be satisfied with that hire for UT.

Yea let's hire the guy who barely has a .500 record at CSU and oversaw many underachieving UGA offenses despite having a lot of talent from 2007-2014, a time period UGA won ZERO championships. That's it! That is our guy!

Underachieving offense at UGA? You're clueless if you believe that. Go look at his last three years at UGA where he was breaking SEC offensive records. We underachieved because our defense was garbage most years while he was the OC.

Can you DAWGS quit trying to pretend like Bobo is some great up and comer?

He has yet to win more than 7 games at a program that was at 10 wins under Mac the year before.

His 'ties' to Georgia must not be that strong since he was on Georgia's staff in the same period that the state of Georgia was being raided by every major program in the nation. With the upswing in talent in Tennessee, having ties to Georgia (however strong they are) isn't that big of a factor, if a factor at all. Any coach worth a frick can recruit at Tennessee.

He would be good at a little program like Mizzou, not at the 2nd most successful SEC program that has spent the last 10 years in the god damn wilderness due to hiring dog shite mid major coaches (Kiffin notwithstanding).

Tennessee football is at a crucial juncture. Another dogshit mid major hire would basically eliminate an entire generation of VOLS who have only grown up w/ the abortion of a program that is VOLS 2007- now. The money is there to hire a good coach this cycle, taking the cheap route and hiring some mid major douche who's proven absolutely nothing would basically tell the fanbase that we no longer give a frick about seriously competing.

Will you teach me how to play?
It'd be better than watching the shite storm with him as our coach

That is word for word what I would say when people would bad-mouth Chaney's time at UT.

Chaney broke SEC records for offense while at UT. Never knew that.

I'm not 100% on the broken records part but they threw the hell out of the ball. He had the gunslinger Bray, and a mix of David Ricky, Justin Hunter, and Cordarelle amongst others on the outside. Chaney was "lucky" Patterson was such and idiot and couldn't remember the routes. He'd start running the route and mess up so he'd just take off down the field. He was so fast, he out ran everyone and Bray had a cannon that could get it to him. They racked up a ton of yards doing that.
