He literally didn't recruit the OL position in 2012. THAT is why our offense is garbage, it all starts up front.

Our OL is bad, there's no question, but the same OL that allowed us the opportunity to score 32 points against Georgia couldn't get us one touchdown against Florida? Coaching played a major role in yesterday's loss.

There is blame to go all around for that loss. The team showed a total lack of discipline with all the false start penalties in the first half. Worley should have never thrown that ball that Hargreaves picked off to start the second half. O-Line couldn't block for crap. One of the worst performances I've ever seen.

What hurts is whereas you could look at 1 or 2 plays in the Georgia game and think, "if only," you could look at more like 9 or 10 in this game.

We were a better team and the bed was shat. Big East coaching gets Big East results, as I said on the SECR.

Our problem is that we're running an offense designed around the QB being a running threat. Unfortunately Worley has been told not to run to stay healthy or simply doesn't feel confident pulling the ball on the zone read. If the QB never keeps it on the zone read then the defense will always collapse on the RB. Worley needs to keep the ball more if we are going to have any type of rushing attack. The WRs also couldn't beat UF's press man, which is also troubling. There were as many coverage sacks as there were OL missed assignments.

You're forgetting that comparatively Georgia's strength is it's LB corps not it's front four. In contrast, Florida has stronger linemen AND their own version of Floyd. Also, we used the wildcat against Georgia to great effect and we tried to use it against UF only to have various self-inflicted penalties back us up pre-snap. And for those wondering why we use the wildcat.. put simply it works when you have an athlete who can run it. For us, Hurd FINALLY gets some extra blockers to run behind when we use the wildcat.

Worley was also off all game long. He came out flat and played flat. Unfortunately the offense and all the young guys follow his lead (when he's good they're good but when he's lackluster they're more lackluster too - before Peterman did anything to warrant it we saw them lose all faith when Peterman stepped on the field). IOW, the young offense, especially the line, is highly dependent on Worley being on and getting the ball away quickly. Worley is slightly above average on quick reads/short throws but he's not going to be perfect every time and especially not with that line giving him zero time to make a decision. That line not holding up effects every single aspect of the game, every decision Worley makes, and every play that is called.

There's not any doubt that our OL is a major handicap. But I think coaching on that side of the ball isn't doing us any favors.

You look at the progress that teams in worse situations have made by year two and it's hard not to fault coaching.

I don't want Butch gone, I just don't think the staff as it stands will get it done. I think we go 4-8. That might lead to some shakeups.

Good coaches take games that are served up to you. Our coaches couldn't get it done.
