His support from me takes a massive hit from that shite show.

Why will any other big game be different from this?

Dobbs was fricking gun shy the whole game, O-line couldn't block ME if i was down there.

is there a positive here? I can't find one right now.

In all honesty, he's a great coach from Sunday to Friday but seems to muck it up on Saturdays. I wish I could say it will improve but Richt has proven otherwise.

What happened? Out coached or out talented? I didn't get to see much of the game.

Butch has no idea about how to "push down the gas pedal" he has some weird fetish with letting teams hang around when his team is poised to make the kill.

Also, his playbook includes: run up middle for loss, screen pass for loss, deep ball for interception, and dobbs running for his life.

If he would have gone for it on that 4 th down and scored we would be celebrating right now.

But therein lies the issue, Butch is too conservative. Sadly, im not sure that will change.

Well, yall did lose by only a touchdown to one of the three big 12 faves to win, so it could be worse... Like Arkansas. That's fricking embarrassing.

I wish I could share that sentiment, but Butch has now truly earned nothing but hate from the fan base after tonight.

The only thing that will redeem Butch right now is a win against Florida and Georgia. Our passing offense was inexcusable tonight. We have athletes for days at the position, and cannot dominate. Shaking my damn head.

It'll take a win against both to soothe this loss, but it still won't redeem it. We had this; there is no reason to have lost this game.

It wasn't obvious to a lot of fans but what happened was our oline. They did ok in the 1st half and that gave us pass protection and in turn the ability to do damage but that's about all they had in them. By the second half the best they could do was slow OU down a bit but pass protection was non-existent. That made us one-dimensional and gave OU the chance to sell out on the run and of course it worked. I hated the dink and dunk game we used last year but we could've used some of that tonight, or for the love of god passes to Josh Smith who seems to be the only WR who can get wide open against OU, when the oline started to really crack.

Also, I think they over-protected Dobbs regarding the run for fear he'll get hurt. All of the run plays he had were designed and he got yardage but when the oline failed he didn't take off or use his instincts nor did he do what he does best on pressured plays but instead threw the ball away (a sensible move for a pro-style QB but Dobbs can be a magician on busted plays when he just goes for it). I'm mixed on that because I wanted to win this game badly and I think it might've helped a lot in the 2nd for him to peel off at least one of his runs but it wouldn't be worth losing him. If we didn't have Dobbs under center folks would immediately see the difference show in our oline. BUT we can't put him on too tight a leash or we lose one of the things that makes him good.

Oline is better than last year but we had zero pass protection in the second half. But it's not all on the oline. Offense in general just fell out of sync, our playmakers just weren't there (no separation from the WRs except for Josh Smith). Overall, offense blew in the 2nd and that's the wrong half to suck in.

Ultra conservative play calling was also to blame in the second half. That's my issue

That's what happens when the oline falters and you become one dimensional. I agree with you though. I think some more quick throws to Josh Smith would've helped and that would've opened things up enough to where the playcalling wouldn't be so conservative.

We tried some of those and they were dropped. I districtly remember Pig dropping one and another one to a TE. You're right on the OL though and I agree with you. Did anyone see what was up with Crowder playing Tackle? Did someone get hurt or just resting?

Crowder was at tackle? Please, tell me it was right tackle. I can't imagine they'd put him at either one unless someone got hurt or dinged up for a while.

As to the drops, that's why I mentioned Smith. He was the only one who was getting open and catching the ball when it was thrown his way. I like Ellis a lot but his drops killed us and he's usually solid.

Another thing, Jumper extended 2 third down drives with penalties. That simply can't happen again.

The second one was because we had 4 missed tackles on the QB. That also cannot happen
