I give him a C this year. I can only remember two WTF calls. Although I was calling for his head the first 20 minutes of the bowl game.

Depietro (sp?) can sign off on things for the time being. In fact part of the reason that Hart and Cheek are both out has to do with them leaving the President out of the loop on AD happenings entirely which made both boosters and the President less than pleased.

from everything ive heard it wont be helfrich and will probably be internal like Coach Scott. Butch wants to keep his finger on things and be in control.

I think even Helfrich would prove to be a failure here under Butch. We will not do squat as long as we keep someone employed who legitimately thinks his offensive system "is the best in the country. 6-6/7-5 season coming

To be fair the scheme/system isn't the issue. The issues have been play calling/in-game adjustments, lack of QB development, and poor Oline development.
Butch's offense can put up numbers, it's just a matter of getting someone in the OC position who is a creative play caller that won't get shut out in the 2nd half ala DeBord against OU, USC, Vandy, etc. The development issues can be remedied with new position coaches.

Hubbs is saying Helfrich isn't a real option but if no, Helfrich or other top replacement why give Debo his walking papers?
