If that happens then I see Scott getting promoted to OC and Mahoney replaced by someone.
Which I think my be our best case scenario. It will make next year a make-or-break year in the sense that Butch will be unable to shift blame to a changing of the guard/philosophies. I'm not so far gone on Butch as some, If we can develop the QB/Oline and have a competent OC who can make in-game adjustments we could easily win the East next year.
That said, if we don't get to 9-3 or better then Butch can/should be shown the door and hopefully whoever is in the AD position makes a competent hire.

Lol no way we come close to 9-3 next year. We all know deep down this is completely unraveling next fall

Idk I see it going 1 of 2 ways.
1. We flop; win 5-6 games and that's a wrap on the CBJ experiment.
2. Guarantano comes in and has a Winston-esque effect as a Rs-FR, Shoop puts together a top 25 D like we expected this year, and we blow the doors off the SECE.
At this point I'll labor under the delusion that option 2 is what'll happen until shown otherwise. Not out of confidence for Butch but to maintain my sanity as a UT fan. Neither scenario is out of the realm of possibility.
