The question is: why?

It seems that no one realizes that TKJ was in the hospital most of this week, and we have two other guys temporarily injured, one of which could come back this week (Justin Martin).

I for one have not written this game off.

I also do not plan to write this game off.

And I hope I am not alone in these thoughts.

EDIT: This isn't REALLY relevant but,

Look what I found

The Soonermobile went Boomer.

The Big 12 really only has 2 schools who can get to the playoff from that conference. Most of this resolves around who wins the Red River Rivalry so if Utx drops a loss in week 1 and OK drops a loss in week 2 the Big 12 is out of this years playoff before the first Big 12 conference game is played.

The psyche in the anti SEC crowd need this win to keep a non SEC in the playoff hunt. This filters down to the east and west coast media folks and gets distributed as OK wins.

Good points, I hadn't really considered it that way.

It will be a close game. I have a feeling that Butch was saving up for this one to be their coming out party.

Martin is healthy enough to play but too far behind mentally (at this point)

IMO, per other posters' opinions regarding our chances against Oklahoma based simply on our defensive performance against BGSU, Tennessee actually played a quality opponent rather than a cupcake. BGSU actually won a bowl game last year, and has an NFL ready QB on their roster who merely found a hole in our DB's. Not to mention, we didn't even have Martinez there to coach our DB's up.
We actually learned more about our team week 1 than teams other than Alabama and Texas A&M. Would rather understand a weakness coming out of week 1, get it coached up, and fixed for Oklahoma rather than playing a complete cupcake week 1 and not knowing anything about a possible issue.

FWIT, I got y'all winning this game. Had pulled for y'all hard last year but truly think you get them at home. Best of luck to y'all. Wanna see me some Sooner tears.

God I hope so. Neyland is going to be fricking electric. We are starving for a huge home win.

It's a complete over reaction to 1 game vs a good offense.

These are also the same people that believe Hilary Clinton is a honest person when it comes to her servers ( and everything else).

I may be in the minority of our fans, but I just don't think we win. It's probably more to do with us having this same confidence before other big games and then continually shitting the bed. Until we show that we can play with these top teams then I'm going to be pessimistic.

Tennessee wins with one of the most prolific rushing displays in UT history.

It's going down.

Tenn - 45
Okla - 27

My biggest fear is that they get their passing game in a rhythm and then that sets up their run game. I really hope we can throw out some blitzes and stuff to keep them off balance. Our secondary looked awful at times the other day and I don't think you can realistically relate that to a coach being out. That said, there should be plenty of teaching moments this week and there is talent back there.

I think this will be a shoutout sort of game. I just hope they don't get off to a fast start and he air goes out of the stadium.

I'm on the big orange bandwagon. Bitch slap them Sooners, otherwise BGB will begin his yearly SEC smack talk campaign on Sunday.
