I know quite a few of the posters over there from VN, but damn that place is all gloom and doom. On VN if you don't agree with something they want to bite your fricking head off.

I saw you posting on vn earlier. They are insane there its very rare that I go there. There aren't many vol fans here but at least we are reasonable

Yeah I thought that was a little odd.
I always liked Hatvol that's why I gave 8th maxim a shot. Not fans of the hire over there right now, Tenny had them so convinced it was Gruden any other name did not have a chance.

I swore off VN a long time ago. There are good posters there but they seem to be drowned out by the more vocal and uneducated retards. VolQuest got pretty bad recently as well, but they have better posters overall it seems like.

Yeah VN has some quality posters, but has gone down hill last couple years.

I think most boards with thousands of users tend to be like that because they reflect society, a few bright spots in a sea of mediocrity and ignorance.

They were all heavily invested in the cult of Tenny. Maybe the guy actually does have good sources, but he pumped Gruden SO hard, and the lemmings gladly followed him right off the cliff.

I took a step back when I saw he suggested Manning would come with him. A guy who's on pace for an MVP with a 5 year contract.
I agree that high expectations are good. But UT is not getting Stoops or Gruden, or anybody who's a slam dunk. Those guys are few and far between, and most likely happy wherever they are at or in the NFL. I think Hart could have done better than Butch Jones. But after he completely botched it, Butch Jones was a decent grab from the scrapheap.
He has a chance to be successful, and I have no reason to hate him. I didn't really find his handling of Cincy to be anymore classless than any other coach who leaves a program. It's generally a shitty situation where you are leaving a bunch of guys you recruited. And it's funny to jump on him, when Kiffin bolted and told current recruits to bounce before he got out the door. Yet they defend him.
And Volnation is bearable if you have very disciplined selective reading skills.
