There was a room at the Country Inn and Suites on Magazine last night ... don't know about now. 369 per night through their website. 2 nites only required.

Just looked ... looks like it's still got availability as of now. And no, no affiliation here.

Purple Drank I don't know how many people you're trying to book for but I'm just in the area for an interview by myself and want to enjoy the bourbon street festivities so let me know if you want to go in on a place together to save some money. Contact me at clintachristensen@gmail.com if you want to talk it over

I jumped on a great deal on Craigslist this morning...a one bedroom suite at the Wyndham for $300 a night! Sorry, we're gonna be full, but look on Craigslist for best opportunities for rooms. If you are single, there are some apartments or condos that are subletting 1 or 2 bedrooms for $100-$200 a night.

Really? You found some legit rooms on craigslist. I'm probably just too paranoid about getting ripped off. Can you show me a few of the links. Merry Christmas

I've been looking at the "vacation rental" ads on the NOLA Craigslist. You'll find some decent deals. I still have an email of someone who was selling a place at the Montelone for $500 a night (Jan. 8 and 9). I've talked to them on the phone already and have their number. Email me if you're interested...address is up top^^

As for getting ripped off, my tips are:
Meet face to face.
If transferring name, check with the hotel directly to confirm.
Avoid the obvious, wiring, and fraud bullshite. Be smart and contact them on the phone.

I ended up calling several places, all seemed legit.

I have reservations for the Inn on Bourbon(Ramada
for two(2) rooms that were made six months ago but they are for Saturday January 7th only. I have not cancelled them yet because they were booked for a wedding and wish to find out if any other guests need them. I think the fee was $149 each. I will stay elsewhere but will likely remain in the city and look for a ticket. Would you be able to arrive early? No response. Canacelled the reservations 12/29/11.
