Iwhite looks like he's headed to UGa, although last week, I would have said X Thomas is a lock for USC.

I don't know I'd say Clemson stole Watson from UGa. Richt's downfall was he didn't even recruit Watson and instead focused on another QB. Watson decision came down to Auburn/Clemson because UGa had their sights elsewhere.

Regarding Carmen, the kid may end up signing with a OSU, but he has publicly stated Clemson is now at the top. Here's a cut and past from espn article:

When No. 4-ranked 2018 prospect Jackson Carman tweeted that Clemson was his new leader, it was a surprise to most everyone but Carman. The Ohio prospect previously had Ohio State as his top school, and it very rarely happens that a top Ohio recruit gets away from Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes.

That doesn’t mean Ohio State is out of it, however, as Carman explained that a visit to Clemson is what pushed the Tigers up to the front.

“Just experiencing [Clemson's] whole environment, facilities, meeting with the coaches and players, it was better than any other place I’ve visited so far,” he said. “I would probably say it’s 1a and 1b with Clemson and Ohio State. Seeing everything was eye-opening and awesome.”

That visit made Carman realize that he should probably check out a few more schools to see if he gets the same feeling. That will likely include Florida State, USC, Wisconsin and LSU.

Knowing that the Buckeyes now have a battle on their hands for the 6-foot-6, 270-pound lineman, the staff told Carman they are up for the fight.

“[The Ohio State coaches] were just saying they were surprised, but at the same time they weren’t,” he said. “They weren’t hateful or anything. They just said, 'We’re just going to recruit you harder, and we’re going to show you what we have.' It was almost like they accepted a challenge.”

Carman is not your typical offensive lineman in that he is one of the more highly sought-after prospects in the 2018 class, but he also has quite a few interests outside of football. In fact, Carman paused this interview to take some cookies out of the oven that he had been baking.

Cooking is just one of his passions, along with music. On his Clemson visit, Carman picked up a guitar in Dabo Swinney’s office, tuned it and strummed a song for Swinney. Carman is likely one of the only people to have outgrown the cello he played in elementary school and middle school. He also dabbles on the piano and drums.

While he is from Ohio, Carman spent a short time living in South Carolina before moving back up to Ohio before starting high school. He says he feels no obligation to choose the Buckeyes because of where he lives. He is going to find the best school that fits him and gives him the best opportunity. And while that could end up being Ohio State, he won’t pick it simply because of geography or pressure from fans.

“The reason I like Ohio State so much is who they are as a program, what they’ve done and how they produce players,” he said. “Just because I’m from Ohio doesn’t mean I’ll pick Ohio State. I’m going to take my visits, see who fits me the best, and then I’ll choose that school.”

UGA used to win a lot. 20 of UGA's wins came in 1954 and prior.

Cool, let's do a little math and see what the series record is like without those 20 wins.

Yup, we still have the series lead.

Carman to Clemson. Yeah that's rich.

Got to have two hats on the table to make it a "decision", I reckon.

show me a recruit that based his decision to go to certain college based on that college's series record with another school.

that stuff is for UGA fanboys like you, not recruits.

G Tech has a winning record against Clemson too but we still got Watson and a lot of other good players out of GA.

how did my argument get shut down? You seem just what I would expect a Sumter County resident to be, a thick redneck. lol 'run along now'. you a tough guy , you root for them dawgs.

I'm 'curious, what has UGA been winning in recent decades? You guys act like UGA Is this amazing program so why isn't it winning natties?

Clemson has won two natties since GA"s last one, and would have won another one two years ago under the pre-BCS format as only regular season undefeated.

Two weeks after naming the Clemson Tigers the leader in his recruitment, 5-star offensive lineman Jackson Carman isn’t backing off that claim, though he might be amending it slightly.

“(Clemson and Ohio State) are like 1A and 1B,” Carman said Sunday at Nike’s top recruiting camp, The Opening, in Cleveland, shortly before the combine kicked off. “I’d say ‘Bama is kind of tied for No. 3 with the other five schools I’m considering.”

"I’m not sure that I want to stay close to home. The other reason (he would consider going somewhere other than Ohio State) would be that I just found a place I feel in love with more. It’s not like I don’t like Ohio State, but I feel like if Ohio State wasn’t in Ohio, I’d already be committed there."

this quote goes against the narrative on here by you guys. lol

are you saying he's not coming to Clemson or being sincere?

If i was an OSU fan, i wouldn't feel confident reading that quote.

i tend to go with whatever school a kid has first as his most likely destination.

not sure why any good player would want to play football in a cold climate if he has options. lol

A lot of OSU insiders think he is just creating drama because there was none before. I'm worried because OSU has snagged guys before who were no drama going somewhere else then verbal to OSU after a visit

I'd put it at 75/25 OSU but the way he speaks of Clemson gives me concern.

not sure how the kid can say Clemson is his top choice as of now but you put it as 75 percent he goes to OSU. goes to show how arrogant Ohio State fan boys are. lol
