So you think this young man wants to just be a "college stud"? Read again my last sentence? It is a fact that you can increase you lateral quickness through hard work. So may be it would be in his best interest to slim down to the 240 lbs range, work on it and then add more muscle if he wants to remain a RB? If not, may be it would be in his best interest to consider the defensive side of the ball if he wants to continue his career past the collegiate level.
Why are you so worried about his NFL stock as a senior in high school? It's pretty irrelevant right now, what he is now might not be near the same by 2019 when he can get drafted.
It certainly wouldnt surprise me if he plays defense, especially if he comes to LSU where he could be the starting MLB from day 1. Instead of being behind Fournette, Williams, Guice, Brosette and Ducre from Day 1...

You are right but wrong. Ultimately a vast majority of these young highly ranked recruits want to go on and play professionally. Whoever recruits him needs to honestly help him achieve his goals right. A blazing 4.54 shuttle time isn't going to do that. It may be technique or it may be that at 259 lbs he is to heavy to make the nimble moves needed. I want him to be successful wherever he lands at his desired position. And to do that at RB at this time with his lack of lateral speed is questionable.

If he's going to play RB, he needs to drop about 20 lbs.

lol wat?
I'm simply stating you're overreacting about a player's NFL stock who wont even be drafted until 2019.

He probably needs to drop some lbs regardless of his position, but that is the benefit of a solid S&C program. #BodybyHerb

You are right that he can be good at the collegiate level "as is" but wrong if you think his ultimate goal is to just be a stud in college. He wants to get "paid" capisce? To do that he likely needs to loose some weight and work on his agility....I am not the only one saying that. There are posters on here that agree. Better yet there are guys that are PAID to make evaluation of recruits saying the same exact thing. Now that I have broken it down to a very elementary level do you understand?

He's not worried about the NFL as a high school senior. I dont see how you dont understand this. He'll get to college and do what he needs to do over the next 4 years to get where he needs to be for the draft, it doesnt need to happen as a senior in high school...or as a freshman or sophomore in college. It's irrelevant what he weighs right now as a high school senior for a draft 4 years away.

Yeah right....you obviously haven't been around to many high level high school athletes in your life. Regardless, TO REACH HIS FULL POTENTIAL, he likely needs to drop some weight and work on his agility. How much simpler can I make it.

Theybdont at ole miss. Compare their recruiting the last 5 years with on field performance
Posted on 8/26/15 at 1:48 pm to sugatowng
Could this end up being an Arky -Ole Miss battle?
Posted on 8/26/15 at 1:52 pm to sugatowng
Well considering the circumstances it seems logical
Posted on 8/26/15 at 1:57 pm to FightinTiga
It's a LSU vs BAMA battle. Arky is delusional and Ole miss doesn't even know what a running back looks like.

Everybody is an expert I guess

Almost everyone thinks their S&C coach is the GOAT. Look out our weight transformations over the summer. Guys gain 10-15 pounds in 2 months and some lose a crazy amount of weight. One freshman OL lost 40 pounds.
