Heck, Missouri has one commit and I don't see their fans, for the most part, even worried on the various forums (no clue about the Rivals forum).

We would freak out more if we had 9 commits all from guys that we probably could have offered in January or February and gotten. GP did this a couple years back after our horrendous first year and it came back to bite us after having a solid 2nd year.

Gators keep beating the Vols, Vols keep saying they are going to beat the Gators next year.

Oh, Dooley beat Butch

All that matters now is Butch and Mac. I have a feeling this one will go in the Vols favor for a while.

LOL. I love these threads in May the year before signing day.

A lot of these guys still have a year of high school football to play. Tons of additional evaluations.

And didn't UF, on short notice last year, pull like 2 5 star players with like a month to recruit? Oh nos... the end is nigh...

Not to say that UF can't make up some ground, but even you have to recognize that they are way behind where they usually are with recruiting for 2016. Other SEC programs smell blood in the water and are on a feeding frenzy in your state for top 2016-2018 prospects.

It's May 2015. Signing day is 9 months away.

So much can change between now and then it's almost pointless to discuss it.

That being said, despite a disastrous season, again, and a past due coaching change, UF closed strong last year, and I don't see any reason to believe they won't close strong again.

New indoor practice facility will be done by fall - that will impact recruiting. New offensive coaches - that sure as frick will impact recruiting.

If UF is sitting on 9 recruits and 7 3 star guys 8 months from now, then I will be worried.

And at worrying about people being committed elsewhere right now. Commitments mean almost nothing to these kids.

If you aren't concerned, then that's fine. I could care less. I would be if I was a UF fan, however.

You guys don't seem very concerned about basketball despite every reason to be, so I shouldn't be surprised I guess. Good luck.

It will be a couple years before Coach McElwain has UF back to their former recruiting heights. Too many schools are creating pipelines from that state, LSU included. However, McElwain is an excellent "X's and O's" coach, and will have UF playing better ball much sooner than it will take him to dig UF out of their recruiting hole. I expect much better things from UF next year, around the 7-8 win mark.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that recruits now have relationships with coaches as sophomores in high school if not earlier. Coach Mac went Colorado at a school that can't come to the south and recruit top flight talent. It's not like he was at another SEC school recruiting all these same players. He is fighting for players that have years worth of relationships with coaches from other SEC schools. To contrast, coaches like Boom at AU is still recruiting the same players to come play D for him, just at a different school.

I'm not concerned about BBall, it's going to suck and we all know it. Not much to be concerned about really lol.

About football, after the mediocre 2011 and 2012 classes (despite its ridiculously high ranking) I was concerned. After 2013, 2014, and 2015, I was not concerned. Because UF actually recruited decently, especially at positions of need.

The only thing I'm legitimately concerned about right now is LB and OL, and that can honestly be fixed in one additional recruiting cycle.

UF looks pretty good at most other positions moving forward. But you know how football is, that can all change by December.
