What about wins and hardware for a single signing class? 2000 Miami,

Wouldn't it be 1998 or 99 Miami?

I'd think the best way to rate a class would be on NFL draft picks/production rather than star ratings and perceived potential.

Auburn's 2017 class will be better than Georgia's this year anyway. Already have commitments from 3 top 100 players and lead for at least 4 or 5 more.

Who are the 4 or 5 more?

Benton?
Collins?
Ignont?
Maybe Troxell?

Any of those for Miami would work, but that 2000 class never lost more than two games from 2000-2003.

And he's known the Alabama staff for longer. And who is his father? And where does he live?

Probably one of these classes...

2003: USC = 14 NFL draft picks

1990: Notre Dame = 13 NFL draft picks

1983: Miami = 12 NFL draft picks
1987: Notre Dame = 12 NFL draft picks
1997: Tennessee = 12 NFL draft picks
2001: Miami = 12 NFL draft picks
2002: Ohio State = 12 NFL draft picks

UGA could potentially have 7 of the top 35 players on 247. Going beyond those seven (Eason, Brown, Kyle Davis, Nauta, Cleveland, Rochester, Brian Burns), UGA is heavily involved with quite a few studs (Hardman, Robertson, Warrior, Callaway, Dickerson, the list goes on).

you are barely Top 10 at the moment

I suppose having the least amount of commitments in the top 10 would have something to do with that? I would try to explain it to you, but basic math is obviously an area for improvement.

You can lol all you want but 2017 is going to be shorty Saban's toughest recruiting job in state given the players who grew up Auburn fans like Will Ignont, the kids who have some family connection to Auburn like Jake Bentley, the guys who live in close proximity to Auburn and will likely have two former teammates here like Markhail Benton, and the kids who have already committed to Auburn like Alaric Williams. All those kids plus Nico Collins probably favor Auburn at the moment, and I believe they are all ranked among he top 7 or 8 Alabama recruits for 2017

I guess I'll try to be as civil as I can in my response to this so as not to get you all riled up this early.

Jake Bentley - Doesn't even have an Alabama offer. We are a finalist for 5-star QB Tate Martell and if that falls through we will take Jake Fromm, who is ranked higher than Bentley. LINK Also, Auburn just got their 2017 QB so bringing up Bentley is kind of dumb.

Alaric Williams - We already have the top RB in the class, Najee Harris, committed and are hard after MS RB Cam Akers. Williams is more than likely not even in the Top 10 on our RB board.

Nico Collins - His teammate, and fellow WR TJ Simmons, is committed to Alabama. If having former high school teammates is a plus for Auburn, one would have to assume it would ring true for Alabama as well. Right?

Will Ignont - Grew up an Auburn fan, huh? So did half of the kids playing high school football in the state of Alabama. You really need me to list all of the ones that ended up at Alabama?

You talk about me getting riled up, but I am sure why you felt the need to type out that novel. I was just pointing out why Capstone Grad was a moron for laughing at my original post that Auburn was in really good shape for 2017. I couldn't care less about your reasons for why bammer might or might not recruit certain players.

Feel free not to recruit any of the players I mentioned. It will just make it that much easier for Auburn to get them

I t very well could be...but didn't Auburn also lead for Rochester and Trent Thompson? (I don't think you ever lead for Thompson, but jrljr gauranteed he would pick Auburn come NSD)

This wouldn't happen to be Southern wouldn't it? That would help explain some of the contempt your post seem to contain.
