“We have a facility full of five-star guys,” Square said. “So when you come in, you better humble yourself.”

“Once you talk to him, you see the person he is and you see the fire in his eyes from Day 1 that he wants to win … He’s the best coach in college football. He knows what he’s doing.”

Damion Square wasn't invited to that facility and it obviously worked out fine for him.

2008, 2 months before signing day:

Damion Square:

"Man, you don't go to Texas to win championships....You go to BAMA."

5 years later:

Texas is a complete dumpster fire.

Bama has won 3 national titles.

Kudos to you Damion.

Roh got damn Tide Roh!

"who had offers from Arkansas, Florida, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma and Texas A&M."

Yeah that's why he rebuked Texas.

You guys need to read this.

It's very important that you do.

I'm serious.

Click the link and read.

It will give you some perspective on how to grade your own coach.

Did I miss the part where he stated that he rebuked Texas?

I don't need an article to be able to grade "my" coach.

He didn't go to Texas because he didn't have an offer from Texas.

He inferred that he actually had the opportunity to attend Texas, as if he chose one over the other, but he didn't. And that's fine, he had a solid career and played a nice part in your success. But frick, show a little humility.

Then let me summarize.

Saban is very impressive. His stare can touch your mama's soul. His words bring wisdom beyond any written knowledge. He inspires young men to compete in life as well as in athletics.

...or...Bama stacked/SEC fricked

How? Bama is literally in the middle of the greatest dynasty in college football history. We are the elite. Everyone else are just peons.

Don't bring that shite here. Not this thread. This goes far beyond mere wins and losses.

I'm seriously trying to enlighten my rantard brothers and sisters to the glory of The Process.

One day in time, far from now you'll be able to tell your grandchildren of the times you shared the same plane of existence with the greatest coach and disciplinarian of our time.

Read the link I have provided and bask in the glory. These are truly great times.

Obama's success isn't because they are Bama. It's because Nick is there. He had the same success at LSU.

And when he's gone, Bama will return to the 'average' she was between the two great coaches.

Ironic that this thread should mention humility. Detergent fans should replace their arrogance with appreciation...while their ride lasts.

Just to provide a little perspective, in the 24 years between those two great coaches, Alabama

Finished the season ranked 14 times, with 7 of those being top 10 rankings.

Won 10 or more games 9 times.

Went to 18 bowl games and was bowl eligible in 20 of the 24 years.

Won 3 SEC titles, 5 SEC West titles (in 15 years of division play) and had the best record in a 6th but was ineligible.

Won an undisputed national championship.

In that 24 year span, Alabama won more championships than much of the league has done in their entire history. It was 'average' only when held to Alabama standards. It would be the glory days for most anyone else.

Oh, and if you're going to talk about great Bama coaches, Wallace Wade and Frank Thomas say hi.
