The first fair assessment itt. And one that most UT fans will agree with.

The other possibility is UT misses on Johnson next year and doesn't take a QB for that class. At which point UT goes all in on Lawrence and sells the playing time to him.

It should be interesting as to how it plays out.

Dont understand how Georgia has 4 top 10 qb's, has that ever happened? Cal has just 1 top 10 in 2 years, Georgia has 4 in just 17'

Again, Georgia high school football is simply better than Cali and Texas. DWI.

Well we have to think about this as well, we have Jones and Dormady on campus with Guarantano coming in next year. That would be a top QB 4 years in a row. That's hard to do at any school. Most of these guys don't want to deal with that.

It is going to be a battle among many schools but right now it looks to be shaping up for a UT/UGA battle.

Dam it sucks to be Tennessee all them top rated QB's, 4 years in a row and 7-6 is your ceiling. Now flip the script and give LSU your top rated QB' we will be on a 8 year NC run.

Yeah and it's really frustrating because we have that pocket of fans who will gripe everytime one of them commits somewhere else. We don't have but one QB position and with Eason coming in, Hockman committed for 17', hopefully we can pull in Lawrence as well.

But he's had ONE season of meaningful footbalL. Not saying we aren't going to recruit him but good lord we have a long way to go. Favorites could mean absolutely nothing right now.

I went to ETSU with his parents (his father was my fraternity brother). Both of his parents were excellent students. If the apple falls close to the tree, academics won't be a problem for this kid.

2018 is a long way away. 2 more mediocre seasons and UT might be looking for a new coach at that time. He will probably end up at UGA.

He might want to win a Heisman-- QBs from Tennessee who want to win the Heisman go to Florida.

The Vols will likely get Lawrence if he is one of those Tennessee guys who speak in tongues and handle rattle snakes. Otherwise, it's probably UGA.

Like Dobbs...he is a Georgia kid who isn't speaking in tongues...he is simply so much more intelligent than the average Georgia fan, they don't understand him.

Can't imagine a top rated pro-style QB will pass up UGA to go play in Tennessee's spread option offense. He'll be at UGA. Dawg lock, Butch gets fired.

He is a rising Sophomore and has been hand timed running a 4.7. At 6'6", that is pretty fast at any age. He will go wherever he can show off his talents (both passing and running).

BTW...think it is a coincidence that he wears #16?

Nope... Our bag men pay the recruits, their handlers and the NCAA off... No loose ends... And Shea isnt going to Florida State, he's just playing football at IMG Academy because yall ran he and his family out of your state for committing to Ole Miss... One thing Shea will do is get some guys that are currently Florida State leans to sign with Ole Miss this February.
