I don't know what type of pictures are normally on a 247 profile, and I know that all high school kids are douchebags, but man, that profile seemed even more douchey than the average high school kid.

2018 is a long way away. 2 more mediocre seasons and UT might be looking for a new coach at that time. He will probably end up at UGA.

I don't see any way that he doesn't end up in Knoxville. But to each their own.

Bookmarked... When Butch gets fired that December and that douchey looking SOB decides to follow in Shea Patterson's footsteps in Oxford I'll be bumping this.

Kids only a sophomore. Can you really say he "grew up". Technically he's still doing his growing, right?

FWIW, this is the reference

quote:

"I grew up a*Tennessee*fan," said Lawrence. "I am from Tennessee, a small town of Fall Branch (Not far from Johnson City), and I have always liked Tennessee. It would be great to get recruited by them."

hardly means lock, but its a great start for UT

I'd certainly feel confident if I was a UT fan based on what he said, but these kids don't always go to their childhood favorite teams. If one of Archie Manning's sons would pick another school, it can happen to anyone.

He won't be throwing much with Feaster running the hell out of the ball. Vols will win back to back to back to back national championships.

Big news. We've got a great shot to take the #1 QB in both the 2017 and 2018 classes.

Butch has arguably recruited that position better than any other while he's been here.

1 - 4* QB for this class
3 - 4* QB'S in last year's class.
0 QB'S taken in 2014
1 - 4* QB in 2013 (Dobbs)
-Tied with ND for the #1 QB in 2017 in Hunter Johnson.
-Leader for Trevor Lawrence for 2018.

It's a damn shame he had to roll with Justin fricking Worley his first 2 years here. The least talented QB UT has had in years. Dooley, the gift that kept giving.

Can't imagine a top rated pro-style QB will pass up UGA to go play in Tennessee's spread option offense. He'll be at UGA. Dawg lock, Butch gets fired.

I'd put my $ on Tennessee at this point, but he's only a sophomore and hasn't committed anywhere. There's such a long way to go that anything could happen. For example, if UT signs Hunter Johnson and Johnson kills it his freshman year, Lawrence might look elsewhere. Or if Tennessee struggles with their offense, Lawrence might look elsewhere. You just can't know for sure at this point.

Seems weird to rate a high school freshman a 5 star.

Dont understand how Georgia has 4 top 10 qb's, has that ever happened? Cal has just 1 top 10 in 2 years, Georgia has 4 in just 17'
