The entire qb issue is going to be intriguing with Lorenzo Nunez and Connor Mitch ready to go as well. Being that deep at QB is certainly something you'll never hear me complain about, though!

You mean like decommitting and going elsewhere, right?

Much to many, many other program's dismay, he is ours and he's made that very, very clear. He's recruiting his friends to come to Carolina with him. Auburn just offered him a recruitment trip to their campus and he turned it down. He is all Gamecock.

It will be interesting to see what the new coach does with them.

New Coach, huh? There won't be a new coach if it's Spurrier you're referring to. He wrote Connor Mitch a hand written recruitment letter promising him that he would not retire until Mitch graduates and I truly believe he is a man of his word. I'm interested in who we get after Spurrier retires.

I was hoping to stay in Houston long right to see Hurts play. No clue what to expect, considering our only dual threat wasn't supposed to be a QB in the first place

South Carolina is going to have an awful season imo. It might be bad enough to send Spurrier into the sunset.

At Spurrier's age, he's probably calling him Weurffel and promising that he'll love Gainesville.

Gruden will be South Carolina's next head coach and he'll tell Tennessee that it's still not the right time, yet.

who cares. really dual threat qbs tend to rely on athleticism and not thier head and arm which is what actually makes a qb great. keep getting guys who don't pan out in the NFL and here in a few years any QB with NFL dreams will have 0 want to come to your non developmental program. it will happen down vote all you want.

We're sorry that in the past 50 years Ole Miss has had only two good QBs, both named Manning, and that you are not in the conversation.

How closely do you follow the Gamecocks and the reports coming out of practice as well as the call in show with Coach?

We've got a lot of new people, but our D has more experience as well as JUCO players who have stepped right in and are comfortable with our schemes. Hoke has been very effective with the guys.

We have a wealth of options to use at QB. Mitch (who was highly recruited by Alabama, Auburn, etc), Scharnechia, Orth, Nunez and we also have Pharoh Cooper who is very effective in the wildcat. Additionally, our punter played qb in high school and, according to Spurrier, has quite a leg on him. We all know how Spurrier loves those trick plays.

Our 1st game against UNC will tell a lot about this team. I have confidence, though, and not just bc I'm a homer. All indications are that they are vastly improved. My expectation for this year is 9-3 with confidence.

Franks isn't really dual threat.

And he's better than Patterson

Thats funny because Dual threats win college games for you while pro style qb's don't, fact of the matter is that 14 top 20 teams are using Dual threats, and every qb that played in the college playoff this year was recruited out of high school as dual threat qb's.
