Apparently he is eligible now, and will have five to play four. He's visiting Alabama on Sunday.

Is he still a priority for your staff? There are some rumors that your compliance department has been dragging their feet on his recruitment. Is this what you are hearing from your mods?

If Saban wants him he's yours. Hollywood Sumlin not interested in recruiting.

Supposedly he's beyond a long shot to be eligible. Can't say i'm comfortable taking the chance and having to face him though. Incredible talent, and would be a steal for Avery Johnson as well.

Dude. It isn't even a recruiting issue. He wants to be an Ag. You're so predictable.

Maybe he is connected with Avery Johnson. I know we are expecting a basketball addition sometime next week.

He has about a 2% chance if qualifying for an SEC school. It isn't happening.

I think the phrase you're looking for it "Alabama ready".

Alabama got Eddie Lacy eligible, they can get anyone eligible, I don't understand how they do it.

Today's update:
quote:

He's decided to stay close to home and stick with TSU. Obviously, the issues with his academics were still too much to overcome along with transfer rules in the SEC. He could have taken both summer sessions and got the credits needed but he's not going to pursue that at this moment. Probably a good time to officially close the book on him.

So goes another chapter in the Derrick Griffin saga. This won't be the last we hear from him, he's got a way of doing this.

If I'm not mistaken he took summer classes after he graduated high school to get qualified. The same thing that a lot of borderline qualifiers do. Not that big of a mystery.
