There's not even a profile on 24/7

Scholarship offers aren't high school achievement awards

I mean that's the only thing that I can think of, but still.

En route to winning the state title, Easton outdueled 4-star quarterback, fellow New Mexico native and Michigan commitment Zach Gentry by throwing for 554 yards and three touchdowns in a 64-43 win over El Dorado in the state semifinals, according to James Yodice of the Albuquerque Journal.

You're probably right.

I'm not sure I follow... Seems like a weird thing to say.

HS stats, honors, championships, etc. don't necessarily translate into scholarship offers. Scholarship offers are based on projections of how you can help a college team win. I guess this guy doesn't project well.

I guess there was just a less dick way of saying it than you did the first time around.

He outperformed a 4* Michigan Commit playing the exact same competition through high school. I'm not saying he deserves an offer to Oregon or Texas, but you have to agree that he should have an offer from somewhere. Iowa State? Southern Miss? Tulsa? Toledo?

I mean come on.

A highlight film would be awesome, but 24/7 doesn't even have a profile for him.

OP Updated with Hudl film.

This kid probably had a much better team around him than the Michigan commit.

Because scouting is still not great. Has he gone to any camps?

What does that have to do with it? It's not like the question is, why doesn't he have an offer to Ohio State or Florida State, it's why doesn't he have 1 offer.

He has been to camps. His arm strength doesn't look that great in the tape. He doesn't get the zip on the ball on the short throws. He seems good enough to get an offer from a New Mexico school or a C-USA school, but not an SEC offer

Yes. He went to a ton of camps. His HS coaches are completely confused. They have sent his film everywhere - to every D1 school. It is in the article.

LSU has QBs who cannot hit an open receiver with no one around him and this kid looks incredible. Very weird.

I agree with you. Even though his arm strength isn't great he still has good accuracy obviously. Seems like a good lower level school is missing out on a pretty good cerebral QB.
