Shea Patterson just jumped Eason as the number one QB in the nation per 247 sports.

Which confirms what Ole Miss fans have been saying all along and that's........

He's killed it this summer and deserves to be #1.

That's not how this works. You need to get pissy and argue with me like LSU fans would do...

The thing I don't get about the Patterson/Franks debate is this.

Franks is listed as a dual threat. He's 6'5 and runs a 4.8 40. He's less mobile than Jeremy Liggins. Yet Shea is listed as the top Pro-style passer, with more designed runs than the #1 dual threat.

Shea is without a doubt the Perfect QB for Freeze's offense. Just like Frabks is for LSU. Both are getting pocket passers. One for shotgun, and one to go under center. Should be some epic battles through the air soon.

I just don't get what makes franks a dual threat.

Then call him the #5 QB..
If you ask me, #1 Dual threat sounds better. Neither are all that shabby.

Do you think Franks is a better fit than Shea for the LSU offense? And why?

I wouldn't say one is better or worse for LSU. I'm still not sure why we always recruit DT QB"s for a pro style offense. IDK what Dinkleman(18) is considered, but I'm sure we will go after another DT in 17 as a filler.

I will say from all I have seen of Freeze's offense, and I have seen a lot, I think Shea has the opportunity to rewrite a few record books at Ole Miss.

I would like to see a power run game to compliment it though. I know Ole Miss is after White, but I just don't see it happening.

With Drake Davis getting his LSU offer a few weeks ago, has your side heard anything new in that regard? It will be an uphill battle for LSU regardless.

If we put together a run offense this year, I feel Jordan Wilkins is gonna be a big part of it.

Most of our running problems come from O-line issues.

I haven't heard much on Drake since his move to IMG. I know we liked our position the last time I heard

Congrats. As long as Eason don't fall off from what we have seen it really don't matter just as long as we get them 5* recruiting points come signing day

I would say that Franks is better suited for an offense like LSU's because he took snaps under center in HS. Shea is a much better fit for Ole Miss' offense than LSU's obviously

I'm honestly not sold on Franks being any more of a DT than Shea is
