SEC Country wrote an article stating Justin Fields committed to LSU 3 days ago (and a LB)

SEC Country sometimes jumps the gun with commitment articles ( LINK) and they only show up when you go to the all SEC news section in the upper right corner and then click on recruiting in the upper left corner.

Well this is on there right now:

The link is dead ( LINK), but something must have happened for Spiegelman to write this article, right?

ETA: Here's the link to the recruiting homepage so you can see I'm not making this up: LINK

ETAA: LSU apparently picked up some LB 4 days ago as well. I don't know who he is because it doesn't say his name:

They always have articles ready like this "just in case" first to break gets the most clicks and they know this. First clicks can lead to subscriptions for the paid sites too.

We are a player in the race now, but we still have a lot of work to do.

He visited LSU out of love for UGA.

LSU is absolutely a player in the race for Fields. He took an official visit. Where do they fall in the pecking order? Remains to be seen but to discount them as a player here is dumb

I got a cousin that plays with him at Harrison. Fields family wants him in a situation where he can honestly contend for a starting spot year one. Now with UGA starting Fromm bc of Eason's injury and FSU playing Blackmon for Francois injury LSU has become a more compelling place to play.

Etling will be gone and only two real scholarship QBs will be left on the roster for 2018. Both of which will only have gotten garbage time or no time at all this season. Fields would go into a virtual even race with Myles Brennan and Lowell Narcisse for the starting spot at LSU.

Not saying it will happen but LSU's QB situation has gotten a lot more favorable than UGA and FSU's in a matter of weeks.

Not talking about you but in general, it's amazing the amount of people who are connected to Harrison High School.

He could start day 1 at Auburn too. I would much rather him go to LSU then Auburn.

He will probably end up at Auburn at this point, I just think he's running the recruiting trail and enjoying all the free shite (I posted that in the other thread and people laughed). As for the ''we're a contender now, official visit etc. etc.'' group, he visited Florida, too. It doesn't mean dick with Fields. He'll go to the place he can play the fastest, period, and at this point he's just enjoying the free ride.

Why when has Gus developed a QB?

Hasn't, but Gus needs a running QB to run his offense.

Auburn is not the place he can play "the fastest". If that's all he cares about, then he would just go to LSU. But I think it's a lot more than where he can play the fastest. There are a lot of other factors in play here that people have and continue to overlook. I think it's still going to come down to Georgia and FSU.

Damn Spiegs.

I think LB Zakoby McLain planned on committing but LSU is tight on scholarships right now for 2018.

It's FSU or Auburn. I have no idea why LSU and Georgia fans are getting their hopes up to have their heart's broken. Kid's playing everyone, and it's so fricking obvious. There's Eason and Fromm to compete with at Georgia and FSU, plainly, is FSU. Auburn's the safe bet for playing time.

I hate recruits like him.

And maybe y'all would still be a contender if you didn't have a shark fricker for a coach and a QB already committed.

P.S. Have fun with the coke-head.
