Roney Elam...Commits to TAMU

From everything I've gathered, which is minimal, it's TAMU then LSU. But his camp has been pretty quiet as well as any of our boards.
Also, has he set a decision date?

August 15th I think. Seems like people think he's slightly leaning to us but who knows. He's one of my favorite recruits in this class so I've been hoping we land him all along.
I think Kris Boyd is on campus this week and i think (could be wrong about this) that we pretty much have two spots for Boyd Elam and Holton Hill, with another spot held for Kendall Sheffield, so if Boyd does something this week while on campus perhaps that could change Elam's decision? Who knows

It's weird, everything went silent after his last visit to yall. No one really knows much of anything. That usually doesn't happen.
Right now I'm thinking 70%TAMU 30%LSU.

70/30 is a fair assessment but he's one of those guys that could very easily be hiding his intentions to commit to the Tigers.

he doesn't have twitter or any other social media. He doesn't do interviews often. Basically everything about his recruitment is 2nd hand. All the "analysts" that think they know are getting it from "people around him" or coaches. I don't think anyone really knows for sure.

Do we take Elam, Sheffield, and Boyd? Or only two of them. Elam is committing first. I think Boyd is waiting a while. That could affect his decision.

Doubt we wouldn't take Sheffield. He's an elite prospect and someone you make room for.

I think A&M takes all 3 of them if they can. Where it gets interesting is if Hill wants to come as well since he has decided to come to campus this weekend once again to visit the new Taj Majal facilities. I would guess that Sheffield is the only one that has a spot until signing day regardless.
Personally I would be fine with taking all 4 if we could. I would like the problem of having too many freakishly athletic and elite DB's. I don't think that's realistic though.

Still doesn't bode well for LSU that he had a long sitdown with our staff after camp and immediately after all our writers seemed to throw in the towel. Seems like a classy kid.
