Word is that Willie had a really tough time at the Bama camp and his stock with yall's staff may have taken a significant tumble. What are you guys hearing?

Why would he have struggled?

Let's ask crimsonian...I think he coached him at one point.

Rehabbing a shoulder injury. Plus he's not very good in pass protection

Seems like they haven't been recruiting him as hard as others for the last few months since they got the kid from Cali to commit.

According to Andrew Bone, there are at least 4 OTs higher on Alabama's board than Allen.

On the 247 writeup they said you can tell he plays in a run heavy 4-point stance veer offense and is extremely raw. Never has had to really pass pro.
A lot of the stuff Malachi Dupre had to come over as a WR from J.C. (rarely got thrown at, probably ran about 2 or 3 different routes his entire career there).

Down the pecking order. Among the uncommitted OT's we're recruiting, from my info, he'd be no better than 7th on the board.

Also measured a good bit shorter than his listed height, and not as long limbed as he looks on pictures. I was told he measured 6'4 3/4".

Well that is why they want kids to come into the camps. Get to have a detailed evaluation and see how they measure up against similar recruits.

His recruitment reminds me of Orlando Brown jr from last year. Services had him ranked but once he hit the camp circuit schools backed off and ranked him lower on their board

IF Bama doesnt want him, we'll gladly take him.

Agreed. He's raw but the talent is certainly there.

I've been beating the drum for a long time that he is overrated but Bama fans didn't want to hear it.
LSU may very well take him, and I think he's worth taking, but he's a big project - not the slam dunk that his early ranking indicated

He's a take if he wants to play for the good guys, but we will live if he goes elsewhere.

Hell some LSU fans don't want to hear it. Allen's a good prospect, but he wouldn't get near the attention if he was from Florida.

Honestly, I think he likely ends up at OM. He may have put his eggs in the Bama basket and brushed LSU off to others. Not sure how hard LSU is even recruiting him anymore. He was at OM after Bama and passed the LSU picnic. Not sure if he is coming to camp this weekend.
And I agree, he is one of those measurables guy from a system HS that doesn't always produce at the eve level. He has great potential but also a higher bust potential.

I say still take him. Put him inside if outside doesn't work.
