Kongbo just posted this:

@King_Kongbo

Laughing at these rumours and the "sources". It's simple we going to win championships at Tennessee #GBO

lol wuttttttttt

Ole Miss finishing 4th in his recruitment is a direct quote out of Kongbo's mouth from NSD.

This whole thread is pointless. The guy is going to UT. He'll lose to Bama and Florida next year, UT fans will be furious again and Kongbo will be doing the dab with another coach next year when Butch is fired.

From where?

You really believe that? If so, stupidity strikes again. Kongbo was an OM lean heading into the dead period. shite happens. It's recruiting, but lol if you believe we were behind USC

It doesn't matter if we were 2nd or 4th, all that matters is he's not coming to Ole Miss. And no, I'm mad about losing Jeffrey Simmons but not Kongbo. If he had really been that good, do you really think Saban would have backed off of him? Besides, the last guy UT stole from us ended up being redshirt because he was soft and ended up complaining about it and wishing he was somewhere else while we signed the number 1 OT in the country and a guy who will be a future top 10 pick. Things tend to work out the way they should.

I'm just saying. Once he broke the news to all the coaches, I'm sure the OM call didn't go smooth as we were sure we had him.

It really doesn't matter, but usually when these kids decide between two schools, the loser school becomes that players least favorite team, which could be the case here.

But I value our friendship more than Kongbo, so I'm just going to disappear for another 6 months.

Because it was a non-issue for everybody outside of David Johnson.

Dude is a joke

No one is arguing that point.

He is a joke.

But he reported a fact. You incorrectly accused him of making things up.

Which was false.

Saying "Another swing and a miss" is considered accusing him of making things up? First I've heard of that

He reported something that he thought would shine a positive light on Ole Miss regarding Kongbo's recruitment. He was wrong. Thus, a swing and a miss.

Relax man. He's a Vol. Conrats, y'all beat us head to head again. Butch has been the only coach to beat Freeze head to head more than the other way around

You keep bringing up Greg Little, like you stole him from us or something, I simply don't get get it.

I don't think we recruited him very hard. I'm sure he would have been a take, but I don't think he was a priority.

He obviously wasn't a priority, or we just weren't going to land either way. But I'm confused as to why this stupid Rebal keeps bringing him up in this thread.

If you're going to debate with someone, you might want to read everything they say. I made the point that things worked out for us missing on Richmond because it allowed us to pretty much guarantee Little the left tackle position. Not sure I understand what is so hard to get. Did you actually graduate from UT or are you a sidewalk alum?

Because we wouldn't have signed Little if Richmond signed with us. Does it really have a role in this thread? 100% not, but that's his reasoning...well, that's the only logical reason, so who knows.

I guess, he just seems like an angry young man. Think he'll ever get over Kongbo? He obviously hasn't gotten over Richmond

On an honest note, losing Richmond was a good thing for Ole Miss. Losing Kongbo was a HUGE loss for Ole Miss and there's nothing positive that could come from losing him. We were really lucky that a talent, like Little, bought into the "step right into Tunsil's" role.

I'm still mad about losing Simmons and Kongbo, but that shite happens when you're a top tier recruiting school. Something our fanbase still isn't used to(the losing out part). Kongbo won't be the last guy we lose to a school like Bama or UT on signing day and there will be guys down the road that Freeze wins out vs said programs.

It's all good man. It's the internet and this a UT/OM thread. Obvious which side you're going to take. Obvious which side I'm going to take.

David Johnson is bad. Real bad. In his defense, he was technically correct here, but I understand both sides. It's a mute point because Kongbo will be in Vol orange next year.
