You think the 04 team was Richt's best? I'd put the 02, 05, and 07 ahead of that one.

Is Gary making his rounds down south or what?

He's coming to UGA and OM. I'm not sure about the others.

I'd put 2012 ahead of the 04 team as well

Ok well if cheating doesn't matter then we'll claim 93 as well.

Well that settles it, Prettyboy Floyd can not be convinced. Let it be said let it be written. I bet you thought we would lose to bama in 2013 too didn't you?

If AU was so outstanding the voters would have put them in the game

Obviously not, they easily had the best resume and it's not arguable.

I think the best 2 teams played

Well the fact you still think Oklahoma is better than Auburn shows how valuable your opinions are and what esteem they should be held in.

AU 04 was a good reason for a playoff as was Georgia in 07. We didn't go undefeated but neither did LSU.

Your attempts to compare a 2 loss team that didn't win their own division, which wasn't even that strong, to one of the best SEC teams of this generation is laughable.

It's in the conversation. It's basically the 2002 team as seniors instead of sophomores.

It's def better than 2005. 2007 was prob playing better at the end of the year but from start to finish it's pretty close.

2012 is probably the best though but getting destroyed by USC, letting up 44 to UT, squeaking by UK leaves it open for debate.

Myself along with the computers and the human polls voted OU in over Auburn. So it wasn't just me who felt OU was better.

Uh, no. Not at all.

From the 02 team we lost the following starters prior to 04:

LB Boss Bailey
LB Tony Gilbert
FB JT Wall
RB Musa Smith (we didn't have another 1000 yard rusher after Musa until Knowshown)
OT George Foster (first round draft pick)
DE Robert Geathers (still in the NFL)
DT Jonathan Sullivan (first round draft pick)
OT Jonathan Stinchcomb (just retired from the NFL)
CB Bruce Thornton
S Sean Jones
TE Ben Watson (still in the NFL)

And David Pollack in 02 was the best David Pollack. Not that he was bad in 04 but teams knew about him by then and game planned for him. In 02 he was a havoc.

How many national titles do Auburn fans feel they've been cheated out of? On here I read about two in the 80s, 93 and 04. Are there others I'm missing?

Seems like there are large forces at work against Auburn, cheating yall left and right.

Man, if only Auburn had been established 45 minutes to the East, they'd probably be the #1 program of all time. Instead, they've had to claw themselves up from the pits of despair for their success while UGA has just squandered the silver spoon of the state of Georgia hat it was born into.

You miss the point, you and others like you obviously have/had flawed reasoning and you're unintentionally proving my point for me. Humans, and lol computers, can not watch a couple of games and automatically tell who is better.

The voters obviously got it wrong in 2004.

Tell me another team that went undefeated in the SEC and was challenged as little as 2004 Auburn?

Do Auburn fans have any theories as to the nature of this entity that keeps denying yall national titles when your team is so clearly superior? Is it more media based or a governmental thing?

I'm surprised this isn't discussed more nationally, Oliver Stone has made some good movies about these kinds of cover ups.

You have no clue if you think the 04 team was better than the 05 and 07 team.

Can we redirect this thread to its original purpose? The fact that Gary is a lock to the barn after his 5 day official visit...
