Another Missouri recruit has backed off his commitment to the Tigers.

This time, Darius Anderson, a 3-star running back from George Ranch High School (Rosenberg, Texas), announced on Twitter that he is no longer committed to Missouri.

“After much consideration, my family and I have decided to rescind my verbal commitment to Mizzou and open up my recruitment,” Anderson said on Twitter. “I would like to extend my sincerest thanks and appreciation to the fans and the Mizzou family for your love and support.”

Anderson is rated as the nation’s No. 33 running back and is the state of Texas’ No. 88 overall prospect. He rushed for 2,274 yards and scored 30 touchdowns in his senior year.

Earlier on Tuesday, 3-star defensive end Tyreic Martin announced that he was de-committing from Missouri, too.

Anderson hurts, but to be fair it didn't seem like Odom really wanted him.

Martin is a project with some upside. He says we are still on top but I doubt he ends up here. Maybe SCAR but I'm not too worried. He's replaceable.

Don't think he was really wanted by the new staff.

Not saying this is inaccurate, but I'd wonder how many times some iteration of this comment has been made on this board. Every team spins decommits this way, sometimes even when it's *not* a new staff. ex. "Senior season was a bust... staff told him to look elsewhere."

He had a great year but I think they're looking for bigger backs

It is truly a wonderment to behold ... the difference between JesusQuintana busting Muschamp and SC chops when they had decommits early ... and this, when this Odom guy has decommits early.

I only hate two things on this earth.

People who hate other people ... and the mizzourite hypocrites.

Yes, yes. We all know you hate Mizzou.

No revelation there.

Like I said, Anderson looks like a player to me but apparently he wasn't contacted by the new staff and it appears sub 200lb backs aren't going to be on our radar anymore.

As for Martin, he may very well end up at SCAR but again he's a project so I'm not that concerned. We can find another one.

How can you be so calm about this? Those are two 3* guys. Those are probably 2 of your highest rated recruits.

So you hate yourself? What a conundrum.

Being a South Carolina fan, isn't this a given? Why else torture yourself?

And we recruited like that all the time and won more games then a shite ton of programs that "recruited better".

"Stars" are bullshite. It's fantasy land stuff. The absolutely elite prospects are easy to see but after that relatively small group it's about identification and development.

BTW, comparatively speaking, would any of you Mizzou fans say the #boycottmizzou or #blacklivesmatter or #ferguson or #hungerstrike or #MichaelSamsGay things are helping y'all or hurting y'all on the recruiting trail with the new coach so far this recruiting season?

What hash tags do y'all use to counter those things, that might be perceived as negative, on the recruiting trail?

You are 110 years old and your talking about hashtags....

Don't worry, Odom (and the rest of the SEC) will bitch slap Muschamp repeatedly no matter how many cool hashtags he can come up with.
