This guy and mays are legit. Mays had 10 assist and 0 turnovers last night at Findlay prep and score 18 tonight. If you watch Hayward's film he looks unreal, not sure what the competition is like but the tools are there. 6'5 with a vert that's over 30 inches and NBA range. That's something you can turn into a all sec player

He had a weird final list because wasn't it ya'll, Rider, and St. Joe's?

He didnt start getting offers till a few months ago but he was invited to visit like 20 schools and offers were rolling in for him, so no telling what he ended up with. Glad we locked him up, cant have enough athletic tall guards.

I wasn't commenting on the quality of his game because I haven't watched any film. I was just saying that's a weird list
Jones has been stockpiling talent so I doubt this guy is any different.

This is the program/depth building class. We're losing 4 or 5 guys after this season so we need an influx of some program type guys coming in along with a few immediate contributors. Got a few really good JUCO players from Lee College to be those immediate contributors and then a few 4-year in-state players in Wayde Sims and Skylar Mays.
Hayward is the super athletic SG that can play the 2 or 3 for us in this class. Take a look at some film on him from his AAU play in the states. Dude has some ups and a long jumper nailed down.
Highlights from Summer AAU tour in U.S.

This class is really interesting. Seems like we chose reath and Jenkins over jarreau and Gresham, I saw both of those guys being program guys but I guess JJ wanted more polished players. Next class should be fun considering we have some good instate talent.

This kid is nice. That move at 1:10 was nasty. He needs to keep his dribble lower though, he'll get ripped in the SEC dribbling that high. Once he gets stronger and faster he will be a player for LSU
He has a real nice stroke too

Yea there's going to be a adjustment for sure but he has great potential

His Aussie team came over to the US and played a series of games against AAU teams. Apparently he was the best player on the court each game. Dudes got insane hops for a white boy.

Yeah unfortunately JJ saw a need for some IMMEDIATE impact players this class and is why we went for Reath and Jenkins as they are experienced college level players already.
Even with a 5th commit for this class be on the lookout for a possible transfer too because if we lose 5 players from this year (Gray, Hornsby, Simmons, Quarterman, Blakeney) we will only be at 12 scholarship players for 2016-2017 season. If we lose only 4 guys though then we likely stick with what we have.
