Couldn't play with the big boys apparently. When you're a 5 star sitting behind a bunch of journeymen on the roster it isn't a good sign. Bad thing is that the linebacker position was thin to begin with.

Strange move by the kid. He had an opportunity to be second string this season and possibly start next season as a junior when Beckwith leaves.

LB recruits have to love the way the depth chart looks at LSU right now. Only one LB on the roster from the last two signing classes.

His tweets/insta never looked like he was happy. Could see him migrating back north...

The reason he couldn't cut it at LSU was that he was a Five Star
and in one year he dropped to a Four Star

Hard to overcome a 20% talent drop in one year.

Injury, work ethic, homesick, and coaching change, maybe. He couldn't pass up Ronnie Feist who has barely seen the field since his freshman year in 2012. Oh well.

Missing on Kenny Young is going to hurt a lot unless we get some SEC ready guys in this upcoming class.

He was recruited to LSU by Greg Studrawa, who was let go shortly after. Then he had trouble adjusting to the heat and humidity in Louisiana. May have gotten a minor concussion at some point as well. Just a whole bunch of little things adding up to not wanting to be at LSU.

Some people just don't have the chest to play at LSU....

Seriously though, there have been several reports that he's really struggled with the climate down here. If so, expect to see him playing in the Big 10 in a year.

Yep it is what it is. Kid was homesick, could not adjust to the heat down here and may have been just a little over his head. Best luck to him.

No idea. Several rumors posted negative about the kid but I'll refrain from posting. Something was clearly up based on his spring game playing time (barely at all).

I wish the kid the best. I was pumped to have him sign with LSU.

A lot of students who post on the rant say that he spent a lot of time in tiger land drinking and smoking black and milds. (Rumor of course) from the way things look, he just wasn't as good as advertised. He had problems when he arrived that others did not. I hope he lands with AM. There's a reason he couldn't Crack our depth chart with how much we're lacking

he never progressed, supposedly didn't put in the work, didn't get but two reps in the spring game, and that's a game where walk ons were all over the place

He wasn't happy about playing time either. You're right though. Just too many changes for Garrett after he committed.
