There are some decent prospects coming out of LA in 2015 such as Tyron Johnson and Derrius Guice... No where near the talent in this 2014 class... Does it concern the LSU posters on here that the talent level in their state might be falling way behind the likes of FL, AL, TX and GA after this year ?

Congrats on having Tolliver on board already BTW... He may end up being the #1 overall player by this time next year.

This year is gonna be hard to match for any state considering the size of Louisiana. Next year is a little heavy on the DB and skill position side of things, but that's mostly what we are gonna produce anyway. Louisiana is like a mini upside down Florida

Are you just plain dumb?

When has LA ever been ahead of FL, TX, and GA for the number of prospects those states have? AL has always been pretty damn equal to LA in the amount of prospects in-state.

As far as Elite talent is concerned I'd say this year... 2014.

No, no concern. That's how it has always been. Louisiana has one of the best states for recruits per capita, but let's be honest, the Houston area has more people than our entire state. LSU has the ability to go to other states and recruit successfully. We do it every year including this one taking top recruits from Texas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Ohio etc...
we expect another top 5 recruiting class again next year and 2016 has the early makings of another outstanding year.

Thanks for an honest answer... Don't why so many others couldn't give a well informed answer... I don't know anything about the State of LA in 2016... Thanks for the info.

Toliver is the #1 player on 247 composite rankings, and hes been committed for a while now.

Guice is all LSU. Expect him to commit over the summer.

Tyron Johnson goes to Warren Easton and its going to be like Karr was this past year. Have a lot of big recruits, led by Tyron Johnson and Arthur McGinnis. Should get them IMO, but not too familiar with their situation.

Xavier Lewis is a top 20 CB and top 200 guy in the nation, and already committed.

Mouton from Acadiana is going to be a solid prospect as well.

2015 isnt as top heavy as this years class was, but its still a damn good class, even for LA standards. Have a lot of WRs and DBs and athletes. We always have talent in the state and we arent falling behind.

I mean Guice and Brossette and both top 5 RBs for next year, and I think Guice could potentially be the best RB in the country next year. Toliver is #1 CB and potentially #1 player overall. Tyron Johnson is a top 5 WR in the nation. We also led for Jamal Peters, who is a top S for next year too, from MS.

Were fine for next year, dont worry about us.

A&M leads for Johnson. Once again, LSU late to show interest.

LSU has some work to do to close the gap with aTm. Johnson is high on them b/c they offered first.

So are you calling for a 5 for 5 next year too?
