This won't be much of a battle. Expect Patterson to commit to Ole Miss sooner rather than later. We just have to hope MLB stays the frick away from Franks.

There will be no battle, wherever his brother was going so was Shea. LSU was just not willing to give up a spot on the staff. It is a little weird though.

this has been in the works for awhile. our linebackers coach was hired away from us ,and freeze promoted within the staff. This left an open spot for sean.

The battle is over but glad it happen early. Can not overcome the family part. LSU just goes after another qb and hope to keep Franks who is a stud!

Yeah. It's been obvious since Tom Allen left and we hired Corey Batoon from within that Batoon's spot was meant for Patterson. Most of us knew something was happening today but not for sure what.

I was wondering how Freeze set it up. I knew Sean was going to leave, but I thought Freeze would have to let someone go.
Basically, what you're telling me, is that Batoon was basically just saving the spot for Sean?
My question, and maybe you can answer, why not just not fill the position until after it's all said and done so Freeze could have had extra visits with recruits?
