Same skill set and attributes although Shepard is 2 inches taller with more straight line speed and Murray is a bit quicker. Shep was a good Tiger but would have done much better in a different program with a wide open offense working at QB. Murray is everything that Shep could have been in the right offense.

Murray is being called by many the best high school QB in Texas history. He has won two state player of the year awards, one national player of the year award, two states titles and has never lost a game. If he wins another next year, he will almost certainly be remembered as the greatest QB this state has ever seen.
He's just a whole lot better than Shepard was, and I liked Shepard. Nobody is even considering converting Murray to receiver or DB, though. He throws a perfect ball.

So the best Texas QB ever likely won't even attend college? It is amazing some of the crap aggies spew out.

So much for keeping this board clean. Nice troll.

Thread hijack... Who are the two big WR's in that Murray highlight? #6 & #13? Not that y'all need to sign anymore WR's...
Oh and Murray is a fricking stud. Congrats ags

What?
Also the similarities basically end with skin color and running ability. Murray is as polished as they come throwing the ball. Shepard couldn't even crack a QB depth chart that included Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee

quote:Not even close. Much better arm, offensive mind and intangibles. Kyler is more like JFF. The real question again is how will Kyler's summer play out and will he be drafted as high as his coach thinks? EXCELLENT PICK UP

I have literally seen you post this 3 times in three threads.
He's not that high on baseball. He lives for football and he knows what he will be doing. Barring a top round grade, he is coming to A&M. And even with a top grade he still likely comes to A&M. Money isn't everything to everyone.

He isn't ranked on any of the lists on Perfect Game or MaxPreps and hasn't been invited to the 2015 Under Armour game, but I realize facts and logic mean little

I didnt realize Pro Baseball GMs go off those list only. Dumb of us to think they do their own scouting.
And there is a very good chance he will be drafted high.

I didn't realize the posters here were pro baseball GMs.

So you are more reliable than those lists?

Dude, he's not a power hitter and he's not a pitcher, so WTF makes you think he's gonna shoot up the boards? The fact he is an Aggie QB commit? I'm sorry you can't get Stewart out of your head, but Kyler isn't 6'3+ and throwing 95 mph fastballs.
He's just NOT.

Question it all you want but quit prancing around like it's such and absolute. Ofcourse it's a possibility, but it's not nearly the same as the Stewart situation. Stewart was goin in the first two rounds, and we knew that a year out from his draft. We were banking he wouldn't sign the big money, but he did. What pick was he? Too ten? Don't every remember, it it was the signing money that he left for.
Kyler won't be getting that kind of signing money. He just isn't the kind of player that goes that high.
