Kendell Jones, 4 star DT commits to Bama

Kendell Jones, a four-star recruit from Killeen, Texas, gave a verbal commitment to play for the Crimson Tide following his spring game at Shoemaker High School. Jones' nickname is "Hulk."
Jones, who visited Alabama for A-Day, is listed at 6-foot-4 and 361 pounds.
He picked Alabama over a top five that included Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor and LSU.
Jones is Alabama's ninth verbal commitment for the class of 2016.

Even if Alabama doesn't land Lawrence, a DT class of Jones, Rashan Gary and Raekwon Davis would be ridiculous.

Bama into 247's top 10 composite team rankings now. Kept saying it was dumb for people to point a finger at the slow start they had since they would land the studs in the coming months.

this is the least sloppy 360lbs person ive ever seen. usually when somebody comes to college that heavy you have to spend 2 years stripping tons of fat off them. this guy is just muscle

Good get based on potential. Best DT in the class on potential but probably not top 100 DT as an actual player. He will work his tail off but as of now he's just a 361 pound hulk of putty that's colossally unrefined . Scary potential though and a great choice for him IMO to go to Bama.

yep, hes raw still, doesnt understand how to really use his hands yet. ceiling is through the roof tho. you cant coach size, and he carries his so well. he is likely going to outweigh most o linemen he faces in college by 40 lbs, and yet is fast and agile. cant wait to see him after 2 years of bama coaching.

Also, keep an eye on Benito Jones. He could be either a DT or DE.
