He may be able to have four years of eligibility left, per NCAA rules, if he redshirt this fall. His JuCo had its first season in 2014.

Maybe he can change some recent fortunes at place kicker.

well, to be fair i think at most schools the special teams coordinator does snot directly coach the kickers, they basically just coordinate personnel packages and coverages and run that part of practice. hes not directly coaching kickers on the mechanics of kicking. they get that in specialist camps in the summer or from private coaching

No flame, just a question. He has to be at least a 2*

He's a complete unknown that was on a soccer scholarship at his JuCo. Which is why he may have four years of eligibility left. He out-preformed all of the other kickers at Alabama's recent specialists camp.

Seeing his highlights, and having 4 years of eligibility, he might end up a 3 star. Too bad Scott can't also kick field goals.

has there ever been a 5 star kicker? 3 star is pretty much the ceiling for them it seems

Pretty sure AU had a four stat kicker a couple years back. Or maybe it was Tenn.

ESPN used to have a few four star kickers, you're probably thinking of Parkey, the Philadelphia Eagles kicker now.

Last time Rivals gave 4* to a kicker was 2002, in which they gave that grade to 5 of them

Hasn't been one since, nor a 5* Center since Jeff Byers(who was a bust but still made it to the NFL).

I'm going to bet by the time he is in a game, he will barely kick it past the 5 on KOs.
