It may just be that our coaches finally thought they needed to lay down an ultimatum

Seems stupid. Arkansas is not in a position to give any kid a ultimatum.

So what we should do is beg him to come and risk him choosing another school on NSD, leaving us high and dry? Despite your naivety, we recruit pretty well at the OL positions and Diesch won't make or break us. The worst thing about his decommitment is that we need to build depth for next year and now we're further away from away from that goal.

Depending on the player Sumlin doesn't automatically pull a guys offer for visiting other schools but he lets them know that their spot may be at risk.

You can not afford to be "high and dry" on NSD.

This. We have limited spots this year and need to fill with specific needs. No room for wishy-washy commits. If not 100% on board, we need to find someone who will be. Can't afford to string things out.

Bielema doesn't usually pull offers for taking visits, either. They probably figured that Diesch was a lost cause and just helped him hasten his decision. One of our recruiting guys had this to say about it today:

quote:

Diecsh wanted to take some official visits, but Arkansas would not allow him to do so and stay committed.

Either trolling or stupid.

We can give OL ultimatums as much as we want. That's a position we recruit very well and it's a position where Ark may have the best OL coach in the college game.

That DA is not a Hog fan ! We have a stable of 4* OL players. We are on other good OL players. Pitman will replace him with no problem. Diesch is ok to move on, not a make or break deal, good luck to him in the future. Next!
