Former 4 star OL Jake Raulerson, 6-5 295,Texas graduate transfer with immediate 2 year eligibility. Will help replace some experience we lost and provide a boost to depth. Not impossible that he could start.

He was pretty highly rated out of high school. At least high enough for me to remember his name. And age and strength are a good substitute for talent on the OL (not to say he doesn't have talent). Good pick up.

The 2 years of eligibility is big in this case. Don't know where they have slotted him, possibly center - which would be big if he can pick up the calls and plays quick enough there. That would allow Ragnow to slide back out to guard which would also be huge.

He lost his spot on the Texas oline, which was atrocious. However, I think the coach wasn't developing anyone.

Depth is good and he was highly touted out of HS, but Texas OL play and OL development has been a fricking abomination over the last few years, especially compared to Arkansas which has been excellent. He should develop pretty quick under your staff but I would temper expectations right away.

Wouldn't 6-5 295 make him basically the runt of the litter on Arky's OL?

Guy was an athlete out of HS, he was getting offers for several positions on the OL, DL, and even TE. Hell, Bama offered him at, wait for it, JACK LB. Not even joking.

I know he was injured a bit at Tejas, which probably hurt him putting on weight early on.

He's also a hard worker graduating in three years. I would've loved him on UO's oline and I am curious as hell how he does in your scheme.

Damn. Sounds like the pulling G/C we've been missing since Travis Swanson left.

I think your description as depth help is accurate. Your OL is in trouble if he starts.

In my opinion, he was playing under bad coaches and on a bad O-Line at sip. He committed to Mack brown as a DL but transitioned to C. He was a workout warrior in HS and always seemed like an intelligent kid.

That said, if he starts, it's because he improved dramatically under only a few months of Bert. Dude just hasn't Been the talent everyone thought he would be.

Can't hurt the depth chart, but no real reason to think he will be a major piece, at least this year.

Our OL will never be in "trouble" under Bret. If he starts, then it's because he has earned that right.

From all indications, there was a rift between himself and his OL coaches. Once the OL coach was replaced, talk had then started that Raulerson would be their starting C this season.

If he doesn't start, then he provides quality depth on our Oline.

6'7 Pocic from LSU says hi!

Yeah he will help with depth but hell y'all have TE's bigger than that. Hell I am sure the water boys are bigger than that!
