I think i'll take the word of recruiting sites and the kid over the word of a random poster on the internet that has had no contact with anyone that would actually have a grasp on the situation. I doubt all his offers were commitable but I don't believe he just went down the list saying he got offered by all these schools that never really offered.

Smart decision by this kid. Wisconsin was TE U under Bielema and already his first TE recruit at Arkansas is the top freshman TE in the country.

Maybe UGA offered him as a 10th grader or something, but he hasn't had a commitable offer since at least the summer of '12 when we set our sights on Blazevich and Milan.

I'm gonna assume he never really had an offer.

Kids do this all the time fwiw. Recruiting sites don't really have a way to confirm so they take them at their word.

Btw, is Taylor Hamm trustworthy?

He's a big homer who exaggerates and tells the fans what they want to hear, so don't trust his 'leans' and etc but he's usually got a grain of truth to what he says. Just gotta take what he says if it's pro- A&M with a big grain of salt.

I've seen them report an offer or two that didn't pan out to be committable but I don't think i've seen a kid report all bullshite offers.

true, but the reporter would never call out a kid for claiming a false offer even if they knew he didn't have one. Their ability to report on the kid depends on them maintaining a positive relationship with the prospect. Thus, the "offer" stays on the profile page.

Have to agree with the hogs, if UF, UGA, and FSU are offering the kids much better than a ***.

true. it's just curious to me that people would assume his offer list is faked. From all accounts by recruiting guys he's pretty highly recruited. Everyone realizes that the big schools take 3 star kids as well right?

I can only speak to UGA's specific case. The only TE's UGA has recruited since spring/summer '12 (before this class' junior seasons) have been Jeb Blazevich, Milan Richard, and Tyler Luatua. It was a deal where the first TE to commit got the spot, and UGA felt confident on both Blazevich and Richard (Herschel Walker's nephew). This makes it somewhat hard to believe that Pierce had an offer from UGA. No offense to Pierce because he appears to be a solid prospect, but he's not the type of can't miss prospect that UGA would offer super early.

Congrats on calling us out in the thread title for some mediocre 3 star commit we didn't offer. We still on that brain I see

I'm imagining he was a backup prospect for you. Probably had a conditional offer based on none of the top targets committing. I don't think this kid was a can't miss prospect but he's definitely solid. Probably a very high character kid as well.

Miami pulled the offer a month before NSD - so take your ball and go home.

So just curious but how do you have inside information that the rest of the world isn't privy to on what seems like most every university in the south east?
