he's vising him right now, December 10th, 2012, for his 1 off campus visit. no in home in january to try to lock him up.
it sounds to me like saban has pretty much said we are going to go with Henry and the kid from Georgia and if we get Tenpenny we get him but they aren't going to waste precious resources trying to fight this one

Why would he need to fight for a kid who has repeatedly re-affirmed his Bama commitment?

Will he get more early playing time and have a better chance at being the "guy" at Arkansas? Yes. Could he also do that at Alabama? Yes. Will it take longer? There's a 95% chance it will. Before Bret Bielema got to Arkansas I would've said it's a no brainer to stay committed to Alabama. However, he also has a good track record with running backs, and Tenpenny would get to play in his home state. Can he go wrong with either school? Absolutely not.
Interesting to say the least.

I'm in the minority of Bama fans on this site regarding Henry. I don't think he sticks at RB and I think that's part of the reason why Tenpenny hasn't bolted. Saban has informed him that he's only competing against one guy in this class (Tyren Jones) not two.

He's the best back in Bama's class IMO, I hope Bama hangs on to him. Not to mention he could possibly be the most ready one. Glad he wasn't ran like Henry of Jones and year back from injury.
That will mean something given the shifting of RB depth at Bama...

Saban usually does his in-homes before the the Dead Period and bowl season.

Just curious about your evaluation methodology?
-Production?: Henry and Jones were more productive in 2012 in terms of yards and TDs
-High School Level of Competition?:
Jones plays in the top classification in the nation (17 different teams ranked in the Rivals National 100 Poll at some point in 2011 or 2012, 25 players that are 4 star or higher in the 2013 class including the Rivals #1 and #2 overall players)....so on a scale of 1-10, the best class would be deemed a 10.
Henry plays in mid-level classification in Florida as Florida goes up to 8A and Henry plays in 4A....so probably a 7 out of 10. Arkansas football is not that good. The entire state of Arkansas 2 players [in the class of 2013] that are 4 star players and the highest defensive player in the class of 2013 is a 3 star player. I'd say he plays against competition I'd deem in the 5-6 range.
-Measureables?
Just curious as to how you drew your conclusion as Jones and Henry played against better competition and they were more productive.....yet Tenpenny is the best of the bunch and the most college ready....even though he was injured all of 2011......HHHmm.....OK....

Not even sure if it's worth it, as you're so pro Tyren Jones there's no return.
But if classification and stats were that important, there would be a lot more 5A and 6A undersized, spread QBs getting BCS offers. After all, they put up big numbers in bigger classifications right? You can even exclude "smaller" and there are still several who won't see a major offer.
And if you want to use the point of superior competition, a counter point could be made of superior talent around him. Because they play in high classifications and better football states, they have more talented teammates right?
And no I'm not gonna throw measurables out, it's the age we live in. Would so many camps and NFL Combines be stressed if they were meaningless?

back to the real discussion. Most people in the state think that Tenpenny will be a late flip to Arkansas. I have no idea if that's the case but I have heard from people close to the NLR program that Tenpenny loved the Bielema hire.
