Georgia fans, what can you tell me about Jonathan Taylor?

LSU is apparently close to offering him and he was in attendance for last night's game. Can you tell me a little bit about him? What exactly was he dismissed for? He seems like a physical freak, but if his head isn't screwed on right, I don't want him.

He was first a part of the Chekgate scandal and a few months later was arrested for choking out his gf during an argument.

I wouldn't touch the PR shite storm that would follow with this. Not only would this be the second discipline problem dismissed from UGA that you'll have taken, but it would also look pretty bad in light of all the resent domestic violence stuff going on.

I've thought about that and any media backlash would probably be local, so I'm not too worried because the local media and fans will bash our coaches no matter what they do. Just how they operate. But it sounds like he's got some problems. Could you explain what Chekgate was?

He was one of the four guys (3 including Taylor ended up leaving/dismissed in part because of it) that were caught double dipping their stipend checks (they'd deposit them into their accounts on their phones and then run down to a check cashing place to get them cashed out before the check had been processed by their bank).

Back to the original topic, this type of shite seems to work for AU pretty well, so why the hell not?

He was also involved in the same incident with Tray Matthews. Auburn apparently has some interest in him, and I don't want him. The Auburn 247 site has a story about him on their site today

In all seriousness, he is a beast IMO. A couple of years ago Geno Atkins (best DT in the NFL) said he had a chance to be a star due to his freakish athleticism with his size. I was upset when he was dismissed. But he has a bad motor and he's a dumbass

Yeah, not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, if he can stay out of trouble he could be exactly what we need right now, but on the other hand he's got major issues. Well, the coaches haven't offered him yet so I guess they're waiting to see how he does and if he can stay clean.
