Florida commit who Mizzou people say came seeking an offer. I have a hard time buying it.

Y'all backing off of him? Is he not really a commit? Just toying with GP? Anything?

He's a JUCO so maybe he sees a more direct path to playing time here? What's Florida's RB situation after this year?

Thompson, a Florida commit, is the featured back at Dodge City (Kan.) C. C. He talked about what it would mean to get an offer from Alabama.

“It’s another big SEC program like Florida,” Thompson said. “(They’re) ranked in the top five, it would only be my second SEC offer. Also, it’s a very good place for me being a JUCO guy. They could lose both backs (after this year).”

Would an offer from the Crimson Tide put pressure on Thompson’s UF commitment?

“All I will say is it’s a good spot for a running back to step into,” Thompson said.

Thompson is scheduled to take an OV to Alabama on December 12th.

We could certainly use some bigger backs. If we were to land him we would have 3 220+ lb backs in the backfield next year. All 4*

Grew up a gator fan and jumped on the scholarship as soon as we offered. I feel like that plus us only having 2 scholarship RB's next year will be enough to keep him in the fold.

He has been solid to UF since he committed. He seems to be a very good player and I hope he will remain solid to us throughout the process

Not backing off.
Seems like a solid commit.

It's recruiting, who knows.

So he just wants to fill up his dance card with OVs to get free trips and goodies?

Who knows? He is a JUCO so PT and the depth chart next year is a huge factor.

On the UF side, our two true freshman are not getting a lot of carries while Kelvin Taylor is playing great. That could change as the year goes on.

If I was a recruit I would go to every school possible, seems like a great time.
