The new staff seems to be off to a slow start.

Strange. I think UF is an easy sell.

What's the outlook?

I never thought I'd see the day where Oregon is ranked higher with less recruits.

I am buying puts on margin.

The worst mistake McElwain made was not hiring an ace recruiter at offensive coordinator.

Florida's recruiting would have been scary had they hired someone like Napier or tried to poach Cristobal. I am glad they didn't.

Have you even looked at the team rankings on rivals?

Florida is a premier destination, but I suspect prospects want to see McElwain win in the SEC. I think by year 3, they’ll be in the top 10 in recruiting nationally.

No product on the field yet. All new coaches outside of 1 who was retained.

Probably fair to revisit this thread in January.

They're 7th in the SEC and 18th overall on rivals. I think that qualifies?

South Carolina's class is the one that sticks out to me. Last in the SEC and ranked 74th in the country.

Yep. If UF pulls off a good/decent season, they could easily get a top 20 class. Bad season, it could be a little rough.

Yes, Florida will be back. Until then, LSU needs to grab as many top-notch Florida guys as possible:

Shavar Manuel
Saivion Smith
Nate Craig-Myers
Trayvon Mullen
Feleipe Franks
Brian Burns

Not unexpected nor any reason for Florida fans to be alarmed at this point. Most 2016 guys have been recruited by other staffs for at least a couple of years. Once the current staff has a complete calendar year under their belts we’ll be able to say more about their recruiting abilities.

Thats a self-inflicted recruiting wound. Spurrier did say he was retiring soon and its scaring away some recruits.
