MS snaps a 7 game losing steak against AL.

AJ Brown and DK Metcalf named co-MVPs for Mississippi.
Ben Davis named MVP for Alabama.

DK Metcalf: 5 catches 151 yards and 2 TDS.
AJ Brown: 9 catches 134 yards and 2 TDS.

Ben Davis: 8 tackles, 76-yard INT TD

they were monsters. Only complaint about the two was that DK did a poor job of preventing a couple of INTs.

I have to confess it chaps my arse that this kid's recruitment will end up being the typical Landmass one with Alabama on the outside looking in. He reminds me a lot of Calvin Ridley.

Huh.....NO! Look towards Oxford and you'll realize who he is almost a mirror image of (except his routes are not nearly as polished as Quon's were coming out of HS).

He's a Treadwell clone if anything. There is an uncanny resemblance in their balance and stride. I thought Treadwell played with a unique style until I saw Brown.

After reading a lot that Raekwon Davis doesn't look good in pads or games, I would say that he surprised me the most. When he and Benito were in the game, they totally shut down the middle of the line.

Brown is going to be a star. Metcalf is going to be very good.

You douche.

But if you think Brown will be a "star," I guess he won't be going to State. State never has been and never will be star gazers.

Y'all can have Davis....much rather have Benito and Simmons. They don't take plays off.

What the actual frick?

There was a thread about the game. I commented that one player was not as bad as people were making him out to be. I commented that he and Benito played a good game plugging up the middle. Of the two co-MVPs, I thought one was going to be a star, and the other was going to be very good. I never said anything about where anyone was going.

BTW, 2 Ole Miss fans compared Brown to Treadwell. I would say that he is a star. Does that make them douches as well? Just asking.

AJ Brown may be the best WR recruit in the country this year. You'd have a hard time convincing me otherwise.

I declare thee a douche, if for no other reason, you have a MSU doomaflitchee next to your name. . Nonetheless, I must rejoice with you on this one occasion my mutt-ly neighbor...cuz our Mississippi boys sure did put a good whippin' on those "boys from the east" (I figure that is what Mullens would call 'em). The score was much closer than it should've been too! Kinda like another game I a watched a couple of weeks ago!

This. He's unbelievable.

Do any of you know why David Bevan CB'd him to Alabama this weekend?

Brown routinely talks like he's ready to get out of Starkville

I've talked to someone who is a State legacy that knows him casually and he says he believes Brown wants to go away for college. That being said, it would be difficult for him to be from Starkville and attend Ole Miss...thus the logical conclusion is he may end up at Bama.

Ridley, Stewart, Robert Foster (back from injuries), Cam Sims (back from injuries) and Brown would be a filthy WR group next year. Best in Bama history. Come on over, AJ!

Bama is the biggest threat to get AJ out of Starkville. But he's been regularly attending practices at State, so he knows firsthand what Fitz looks like.

If I were you I wouldn't read too much into that. Basically any halfway mediocre QB will complete at least 50% of their passes going up against State's secondary.

I don't believe Fitz is mediocre, but I will agree about our secondary. It's a coaching and scheme issue that needs addressing in the off season. It was ridiculous this year.
