SSC plays 4A public ball with a 2A private school enrollment. Dingus.

Why do you think Harris has struggled at the next level? Because he can't read defenses, can't make adjustments and is horrible at making his second, third and forth reads. Why do you think Etling is having so much more success? Now this Myles Brennan kid, yeah well he has it all but what he has more than all the tools is what he has between the ears!

1. Is Etling having more success? If so it isn't much. A recent thread on the games leading up to Bama showed otherwise.

2. You can tell what is between a kid's ears by a stat line. That is some talent you have.

Is 4a big in MS?

4a is the 5th and 6th level in Texas.

MS added 6A 5 or so years ago. 4A in Ms would be pretty small compared to 4A Texas

looks can be very deceiving, he is Dylan Favre 2.0

He plays in an air raid system in one of the smaller MS private school divisions. Nearly every QB in that system has set records in HS, not one has ever really seen the field in college. There is a reason no MS school has offered.

Dumb comparison. Just because they play in the same system doesnt make every QB that comes out of there the same.

First off he's about a half foot taller than Dylan was and has already destroyed Dylan's records with many games to go. Also, Myles has played some pretty good teams outside his district, from Alabama (St. Pauls) and Louisiana (Brother Martin) the last 2 years and performed well against them. Also played Gulfport last year who was good in MS. So he's not just playing weak district teams (of which there's only 5 teams to play in his district anyways). Not to mention Brennan is a 4-star recruit (Favre a 2-star), with some nice offers, unlike Favre. He also is an Elite 11 QB. So clearly he's been recognized nationally where as Favre never was, because he was never considered a Power 5 QB prospect until Mississippi State came desperately calling late.

Also, this was Favre's senior season:
341 for 549; 5,511 yards; 10.0 ypa, 62.1%, 63 TD, 18 INT; Equiv. to 181 NCAA QB Rating

Brennan's JUNIOR season:
303 for 486; 5,248 yards; 10.8 ypa, 62.3%, 53 TD, 8 INT; Equiv. to 185.7 NCAA QB Rating

Brennan's SOPHOMORE season:
409 for 582; 5,797 yards; 10.0 ypa, 70.3%, 64 TD, 14 INT; Equiv. to 185.4 NCAA QB Rating

So Brennan was a better passer as a sophomore & junior, than Favre was as a senior. Threw a lot less INTs. Now, as a senior Brennan is on another level:
208 for 296; 2,943 yards; 9.9 ypa, 70.3%, 37 TD, 0 INT; Equiv. to 195 NCAA QB Rating

Favre also wasn't playing any teams from out of state back in his day like a Brother Martin or St. Pauls.

Well Brennan doesnt fit MS ST's offense at all, you want a dual threat.

How is trying to understand the size and level of competition each player facing trolling?

Been mentioned in the thread multiple times.

His district is bad, but it is AAAA MS football, so not the worst ever. He only plays 5 district games though. The last 2 seasons he's faced off against good teams from Alabama and Louisiana (2 games each year) and performed very well. Also played better MS football teams and played well then.

This year, he has thrown 37 TDs to 0 INT, which is pretty incredible.

Your first response in the thread is a troll attempt towards an LSU fan regarding Myles Brennan.

Then you continue to try and troll even though the information your posting as "facts" is apparently wrong.

Always getting your hopes up.

Brandon Harris had over 90 TDs in Jr & Sr years with only 9 Ints. He faced 10x the competition too.

300 passes and no INTs. That's impressive even if it's against a pop warner team

Thanks for this. I was wondering if he was facing the same level as Fromm was but it doesn't look like it.

I asked before I read the whole thread. No need to be a dick about. And yes, I know it's a whopping 2 pages long

Here's his stats from this season, you can change it to last 2 seasons as well. Played some good teams from AL, LA and some from MS. The 1 game he had recently where he went 41 for 45 is insane. Over 600 yards of offense and 9 TD. That wasn't against a bad team either, they are 6-4.

Dude Favre was 5'9 that's why he didn't make it and a 2*. Brennan is 6'4 and will be a 5* when it's all said and done. They played some pretty serious completion so don't even go there. Terrible comparison.

Ok, step away from the crack pipe.

Ole Miss made him a non-commitable offer after his high school coach pitched a temper tantrum on twitter about no one offering him.

Les Myles actually said "I was so moved by the tweets I decided to give him a chance" to paraphrase.

I will be shocked if LSU takes him as a QB in the end.
