Do you recall a 4 or 5* senior committing, then getting injured?

I was just wondering if you guys ever recall a time a highly recruited 4 or 5 star player got injured towards the end of their senior season in high school.

Makes me nervous seeing running backs put up 300 yard games in their final high school games.

It's pretty common. Most top recruits are workhorses for their HS team.

Josh Sweat, defensive end (I think) for FSU. He was the top recruit in his class I believe and had a very bad knee injury in his senior season. I think he redshirted his first year at FSU and wasn't able to play until his second season there. He seems to be doing well this season from the little I have watched FSU.

Some qb in Louisiana, I forget his name, got injured earlier in this season. Was pretty bad from what I read. I think he is a TCU commit.

Current Freshman Lowell Narcisse on LSU tore his ACL twice in high school, second time his senior year.

Kendrick Goldston broke his leg a few months before signing day and turned in to a pro a few years later. It's always worth the risk.

Was actually there...took the kickoff maybe 3 steps and it was over. If I'm not mistaken it was the opening kickoff.

The Shrine Bowl game is the stupidest shite ever. Nothing to gain for players with offers.

I read Field's lips on the sideline telling a teammate: "I broke my (index) finger."

That sucks.

4* DT Elisha Shaw silently committed to Bama in the summer of his recruiting cycle, then has a career ending injury in August in practice.

Bama honored his scholarship and I assume he is still a student there...
