Whaley would wrap our RB class up for 2016 most likely. We like to take 2 top guys every 2 years.

2012- Gurley/Marshall

2014- Chubb/Michel

2016- Holyfield/Whaley

Well, we certainly need him next year. Could probably get 1,000 yards as a freshman. But hard to turn down UGA with their ridiculous amount of RB talent to work with lately

How reliable is "Dawg Nation?" He told them that he wasn't a silent commit like some UGA site are reporting.

I don't know how connected to the situation he is but Brian Perroni put in a CB last night for Whaley to Arkansas.

AM has two backs already so they might have eliminated him.

Sounds like he tried to commit to A&M after the last spot was taken. Which sucks on both sides, but I am happy with Williams and Boyd. I might prefer Whaley to Boyd, but Boyd committed a while back. You can't just take his spot away.

Dawgnation is the Atlanta Journal Constitution's UGA recruiting beat. They are pretty reputable and get good interviews. For the record, I believe Whaley when he says he is not a UGA silent. I truly believe he is letting his top schools give them their best shot at getting his services. I think he is truly open to either Arkansas or UGA right now. Bottom line for a top flight RB recruit right now, there are worse places to be courted by.

Depends on the writer. It's the Atlanta newspaper so take it for what it's worth.

I just don't understand why he would change his time table to commit just because someone else committed.

Williams basically became a silent commit on his visit. He just needed to let the coaches at TCU know and do things the right way. That was the week before Whaley's OV. While on his visit, he wanted to take the last spot that wasn't there anymore. I think he really likes UGA, but ultimately chose A&M to be close to home. He didn't have a spot anymore and "eliminated" A&M. That is how the recruiting game goes. Not a knock on him or UGA. I think he fits UGA's style. His game is similar to Boyd's. I think A&M's staff liked Williams game to compliment Boyd's better.

Read somewhere today where he said he was still considering A&M, even though they're not in his top-3. I know we're still recruiting Boyd, so that could make things interesting.

Btw, I think Whaley would be a great fit for our offense, as well.

will be interesting to see if Boyd starts to look around. I'm good with Boyd and Williams though. I think Boyd would be rated higher/more offers if it didn't take him until recently to get his grades right.
