Top 15 class with 3 5 stars and we are being ragged on for not doing better. Good to know we have set the bar so high.

Well, not singling you out, but that is what happens when fans from your school state they their class will be Top 5, etc for a year.
Congrats to the Aggies on landing Mack. Great get.

I understand, I'd much rather be ridiculed for not signing the 6 5 stars we thought we had than go back to the days of struggling to sign 6 4 stars.

Maybe A&M will do something with their "big" recruiting class this year after their last 2 classes have been massive failures in helping them accomplish something.
Instead I forsee another medicore 8-4ish season

A top 15 class with A&M's resources and being in the state of Texas is not all that good. Texas was raided this year.

I think it's odd that according to 247 comp. rankings, A&M has 3 5* and 11 4* recruits and sits at #12.
LSU has 2 5* and 11 4* and sits at #5.

Top 15 classes pre sumlin - 2 (out of 10 seasons)
Top 15 classes post sumlin - 4 (out of 4 seasons)
I think we are doing well by A&M standards.
ETA: Top 15

They have higher 4 stars & 3 stars. 90 is a 4 star but if one team signs 96 rated 4 stars and the other signs 90 rated 4 stars than the first team is doing better per rankings.

That's the thing though. You have everything set up to have top 5 standards. What's the problem?

I disagree with that actually, and there lies the disappointment in their minds.
A&M has everything to be a decent program but their resources, access to talent, tradition, etc IS NOT better than the 25-30 teams that more often than not rank ahead of them on the field and or recruiting.
I'm not saying they aren't capable of fielding good solid teams every now and again, but this supposed birthright to greatness is nothing but a myth. If 70+ years of futility are'’t enough proof… what can’t I say.. keep dreaming it’s free.

So you must be really impressed with Sumlin then to string together 4 consecutive top 15 classes when there are 25-30 teams that should be ahead of them each year. Correct?

Yes the classes are solid for their standards.
