Somewhat disappointed he didn't end up with us, but his concerns about depth are warranted, especially with Hill reported to be coming here.

Nice pickup for UT. I'm anxiously awaiting to see if UT has their annual strong close.

Still reminds me of Ronnie Wingo.

Seems more athletic than Wingo, but that's JMO.

Wingo is super athletic, he just runs like a pansy and too upright.

This weekend was HUGE. We are just not getting reports on how the recruits feedback and so far they've all had stellar reactions.

Otha Peters has reaffirmed his commitment, his mom was with him and is 100% on board.

Bourque pick up was huge, but expected.

After Sirmon and Wilcox we thought we lost our chance with Kirven, but with Sunseri, who was his contact at Bama, he said we are at the top of his list currently.

Shanks, current FSU commit, said he definitley has somethings to think about. He said he wasn't going to decommit from FSU, but his recruitment is "up in the air."

We're still getting information throughout the day, but it appears this weekend was a huge success.

Shanks isn't good. If I was a UT fan, I wouldn't want him. He's ranked highly solely on his frame.

There's a reason why both Auburn and bama haven't been recruiting him for the past 6 months.

And it's not because of his "upside."

We're all recruiting experts aren't we?

Nobody is claiming to be an expert, but it's pretty well known that he's overrated.

Oh okay.

Cool.

Yeah, you would know more about a 4* player in Alabama than both Auburn and bama.

Shanks should be a really good bench filler in college, he really discovered he had a knack for it his Senior year at Prattville...

I'm not saying I know more than anyone on the subject. I just think it's funny how fans act as if they can evaluate talent better than the guys who make a living doing it.

I would think Alabama stopped recruiting him for the same reason they stopped recruiting McCullers. Not that he was overrated.

Rivals has Shanks as a the 131 player in the country and the 9th best DT.
Scout has him as the 10th best player at DT.
ESPN has him as the 116th player in the nation and 10th at DT.

Thats pretty consistant.

Shanks didn't even start for his High School team, Prattville. He got benched towards the middle of the season due to lack of effort. Auburn picked Tyler Nero over him, and Bama picked a couple of guys over him. Waste of talent, IMO.
