Wanted Arkansas to get in on him. He's an AJ Derby type TE just waiting to breakout

he still runs around a 4.5-4.6
Maybe he runs that hand timed. No way he is a WR, maybe in high school where the best players play a lot of positions, but he is a TE or hybrid in college. If he is a WR, then he is a tall, slower possesion WR, but as a TE has good size, but could use more bulk which will come w/ time.

Also 24 7 has him running a 4.7, which seems more accurate than a 4.5. I'd guess at 4.7-4.8 as the avg.

His uncle is former UGA All-American DB and Return man Scott Woerner. Played for the Falcons and the Saints in the 80s.

If you watch Charlie's tape, he runs just like scott..

I've seen him dominate in 7v7 vs some of the best in the southeast. He's plenty fast enough to play wr in the SEC.

7v7 means a lot right?

For a WR, he isn't that fast. For a TE he has above avg speed, and plus hands. Not sure how his blocking is, but I'm sure it can get good enough. I just don't see him as a WR. Sure he might get lined up wide some, but he is a TE. Put it this way, if he makes it in the NFL, it will be at TE and not WR. I know NFL and college differ, but when I project someone's position like Woerner, I use the NFL b/c they have elite talent and TE would be his best shot at making it and the position that he should be playing.

There is just no way this kid doesn't get any bigger in college and that will slow him down even more, but he would be a great TE.

When it comes to passing, route running, and one on ones it means a lot. He may switch to te but the kid is fast enough to be a good wr in the SEC. He's probably not going to be a burner but he'll be way more that a possession receiver.

And just because he may get bigger it doesn't mean he'll get slower.

Him and Blaze and Harris and J Davis are going to be nasty and all can create their own mismatches.

At best for a WR he is a possession guy and redzone threat and not a burner. At TE he would really shine. He probably will get slower as he could gains 10-20 lbs, and he probably could get up to 260 by Sr year.

They will redefine his body type at UGA. He'll more than likely keep his speed or possibly become faster once he gets in their S&C program. And he will be far more than a possession receiver. We'll just have to agree to disagree on that.

I agree that he will be a hell of a TE and not a possession WR.

Kyle Davis is supposedly visiting Auburn today. This kid committing to Georgia is an obvious sign KD is going to Auburn

Maybe, I might believe you if we didn't need to take 3-4 more wr.

Woerner is a breath of fresh air in recruiting these days....

quote:

While Georgia and other programs vie for the services of prospects that have already given their verbal commitments, Woerner says the recruiting process is over for him, and now he can focus on giving his all for Rabun County, and then Georgia.

"I am very excited to play for Georgia," Woerner said. "My commitment is 100 percent. I don't believe in decommitting. It is going to be awesome playing 'between the hedges.'"
