Looks like Harbaugh and co. sent the kid a card thanking him for his attendance to a Michigan bbq he didn't attend as well as spell his name wrong. He appears to be a Georgia lean, and the dogs definitely need him. He's also looking at Bama, Florida and some west coast schools

His mom wasn't about to let him go that far away, let alone somewhere that cold. Bama-UGA battle.

The buck stops with the head coach. He's responsible for everyone/everything in the program.

0.0% chance this is why he decommited.

That would require softness unheard of.

I have no idea if it is true but it is pretty bad to misspell a recruit's name and think he attended something that he didn't, not saying that was the only reason but I could see it playing a factor.

I hooked up with a really hot blonde named Aubrey once. She played soccer and had great legs.

this gaffe coupled with the Ryan shazier recruiting poster really makes michigan's recruiting guys seems pretty lazy and borderline incompetent

Call me crazy, but a coach sending you a card thanking you for your attendance at an event you did not attend, and spelling both your first and last name wrong...would kind of be a major red flag to me. I mean, you would expect the coach you committed to to at least know your NAME.

And before you act like it's unheard of, just this very cycle we have a story of an OSU commit decommitting because Meyer forgot who he was:

quote:

At the time, Judson had been committed to OSU for seven months. However, he said his relationship with Meyer had deteriorated since that pledge.

“Long story short, I was walking in the hallway about to go to the indoor field and work out. He was like, ‘Hey.’ I looked around. ‘Come here.’ He was like, ‘How you doing, you like your visit?’ I said, ‘Yeah.’ Then he’s like, ‘What up Richard LeCounte? Are you showing this guy (Judson) around?’ I was like, ‘Coach, I’m showing him around.’ He asked me, ‘Who are you?’ I told him Bruce. He said, ‘Oh, Bruce Judson from Florida. The speedy guy.’ I was like, ‘Yeah.’ He said, ‘I’m glad that you’re on board and glad you got up here.’ After that, I knew I was de-committing.”

Despite what you may think, this was probably a big deal.

Probably too late to the game, but this is interesting from Shea at 247.

quote:

Top 100 defensive tackle prospect Aubrey Solomon has decided to decommit from Michigan and open his recruiting process back up. He had committed to the Wolverines in June. Why is this worth noting for LSU? For starters, Ed Orgeron had offered Solomon a scholarship for the 2017 class, and the Tigers were actively recruiting him this offseason. Even more intriguing is that Solomon is teammates at Lee County (Ga.) with current LSU fullback commitment Tory Carter. It’s also worth noting that another Lee County standout is currently committed to Michigan in 2018 four-star safety Otis Reese. He’s got an offer from LSU after camping in Baton Rouge with Carter this summer, and the Tigers will continue to press the Peach State standout moving into next year’s recruiting class. He told 247Sports last month that LSU is sitting at No. 2 behind the Wolverines. Stay tuned to see if things develop with either Solomon or Reese.

Mama Solomon wasn't too happy when he committed to Michigan in the first place.

I have a hard time believing he'll go anywhere outside the states of Alabama, Florida, or Georgia.

LSU will apparently sign 567 DTs, and yet still employ a 3-4 defense under new DC Aranda.
