Couple weeks ago no where in sight. Now with the inevitable Bama Bumps on the way......... ya'll know the drill. LSU and Georgia got some big names coming in but will there be enough top recruits for each school to fend off Bama's run for the top class every dam year
My predictions:
1. Bama (Nick Saban )
2. UGA
3. LSU (Have high profile recruits as favorites but not enough of em)
4. Errrbody else

Yeah #1 class looks good on paper but I would trade that every time for a top ten class year in and out.

Recruiting rankings are fun to brag about, but a lot of times most recruits are overhyped. Remember, your 3 stars are just as important as your 5, the most successful coaches are those who are able to find the sleepers.

Clifton Garrett is the latest example.

While that is true and is an important part of recruiting and coaching, you really can't over estimate the importance of stockpiling talent. Everyone is going to have those 3*'s that turn out to be studs. You build a program off the 12-15 four and five star guys you bring in every year.

Anyone who thought saban wasnt going to get the top class in the end is an idiot.

Honest question for Tide fans...do you feel this class is underwhelming up to this point? I’ve become accustomed to Bama having an average rankings far higher than the competition. To me it doesn’t feel like Bama is dominating the field. What do you guys think?

Disclaimer - I understand rankings are fun and there to drive clicks.

what will this be? Dream Team part 2 or 3 for Georgia? Will likely win just as many SEC and national championship as the first editions of the dream team

Yeah a little bit but we've gotten really spoiled. There were times when we were nearly filled up by the end of summer and of course we complained because we didn't have the big boom commitments around NSD. This year there are fewer commitments so it's possible we'll get some fireworks on NSD.

I wouldn't trade it for top 10 year in and year out but I would for top 5. That seems to be the cut off point for great classes most years.

Alabama has placed more emphasis on camp performances than they have in the past. I'd rather have a team full of guys like the 2009 squad, or even the 2011 squad to some extent, than guys who played more entitled since then.

Except Alabama has had a top ranked class "year in and year out". Since that's what this thread is about.

Bama moving on up.... with a bunch of 3 stars and no 5 stars yet.

LSU has a very good chance to win the #1 recruiting championship this year.

at least 2 of our 3 stars will be 4 stars by the end, and we will pull between 2 and 4 5 stars. we will be in the top 3 at the very least, could end up #1 if things fall right

They will end up with nothing but 5 stars.
