2 words: Big Whoop. I don't blame him for not wanting to be the 3rd of 4th option.

No worries, everyone knows it's not football recruit

Forward kind of gives it away.

I don't follow hoops that close, but 247 shows offers from LSU, Baylor, and NC State.

In the title?
Sure it does ...

Yeah, that's a hook title.

Impressive pickup. Scouts on twitter are raving about him.

Everyone that follows recruiting already knows Shea Patterson committed.

Hook is way too shiney, that's my point.

What?! I really thought Les Miles was excited to finally solidify the forward position on his team. Now that I know it's basketball though, that's a game-changer.

I think you need to make the NCAAT before you declare yourself a powerhouse.
Texas A&M reaches across the Louisiana border and takes who they want.

Nice pickup. hope LSU can flip him before it's all said and done

Quit flaming the recruiting board
Whole thread from the start was a flame which is an issue because it takes away from the positive of the situation.
Good pickup for anyone, he is a guy that needs a year or two to develop some low post moves and work on the footwork/lateral quickness needed to be a starter in the SEC/P5. I think the Jordan Mickey comparison is okay, but a better comparison would be Kourtney Roberson that played at A&M and was coincidentally from LA as well.
When you have maybe the best frontcourt recruiting class in the country with Hogg, Thomas, and Davis, he will struggle to find time early on IMO. But that actually may be very beneficial to him.
In terms of the OP's flame towards LSU, it is a very weak class for the state as a whole in LA for basketball. I think CJJ has the right idea, he is more willing to cherry-pick the Top-100 talent that will come out of LA every 2-3 years, but unlike the previous coaches not recruit the 3-4 year guys to appease the fanbase, especially the guys that do not fit system we are running.
Williams is a good pickup and a good player, but at this time does not fit our system and is not a priority for LSU. Really like what A&M has done the last two years and believe that the 2015 class could catapult them in 2016-2017 into the Top-4 in the SEC. Give them a year to get their feet wet, build the depth and learn the SEC game, and then have a 5 man frontcourt rotation that very few schools in America have anymore.
Good pickup , not our type of guy, but best of luck to him being from the Boot.

Do not really want and do not think he was ever very high up on the actual board. Yes he holds an offer, but it is more of a symbolic offer than what CJJ and staff is after.
He is a one type of skill set guy, and is not somebody that has much versatility or a skill set that can be changed. He is strictly a "4" or PF, even though nobody after middle school uses these terms except for running lanes or recruiting designations. He can only guard one position and will struggle against smaller, more athletic, stretch forwards, and larger true low post players.
Chance of a flip are slim to none

If there's one thing we can all trust Johnny Jones with, it's recruiting. No doubt in my mind LSU will bring in a top 20 class
