Who? I follow recruiting heavily, and have no idea who you're talking about.
I just looked it up. The UK QB commit? Don't think we've ever been on him too heavily. He may have gotten a verbal offer like 20 other QBs have gotten, but we've only really been heavily in on Fromm and Tua.

Rumors are swirling that David Cornwell is transferring. If true that makes the Jones flip make sense.

Nothing I said was incorrect at the time. Nobody had any clue we were going to take 2 QBs this time. Did you take this as some kind of disrespect toward him? I had genuinely never heard of the guy, and I am a recruiting fanatic. He's had an incredible Spring/camp circuit, though. I like what I see of him now that I've seen his highlights.

There is now evidence that it's more than a feeling.
1) the timing with Bama flipping someone else at the spot
2) Yost is a new qb coach and Frost didn't offer Tua but Tua is Yost's first offer. So, the late offer won't have as much of an impact on his ego.
3) This offer came out of the blue - no reports of scouting him or any communication. We've been looking at Sears and Mond.
4) Just got word that he instigated the communication
5) Justin Hopkins, an Oregon mod but national analyst just CB'd him to Oregon. JHOP isn't a homer.
Anyway, we are a serious contender. Normally I wouldn't be positive about a Bama/Oregon battle. Hence, the verbiage "actually" in my statement.
Like it or not, this is going to be an interesting ride. Also, it's worthwhile mention.

That would definitely suck losing out on him. That said, Alabama is in on two very good 2018 QBs. It would be nice to take both.

Apparently a mystery offer went out to a qb by Yost prior to Tua and another one is going out soon. I can't imagine we will take two qb since we took two in 2016 and it looks like both 2016 will enroll.
It took a long time to get offers out by Yost once Kelley decommitted and it appears he got his "ducks" in a row and is going to play the three against each other.
It's been a fun month.
